I see your points in defending the stance that men should not hit women, regardless of circumstance. And I can understand that moral code you abide by and that's honorable.

However, what you may not seem to grasp is that not every man abides by such codes of morality. I'd argue that at least 50% of men do not. I find that in America, this is more of an issue than anywhere else in the world. In many foreign countries, women are much more cautious with their tongue and hands when dealing with men.
