If you don't understand the system that dominates black people then you will continuosly raise such questions. The classification "Black" is a political statement. Black people were told by the white people that practice racism/white supremacy that they are black and that they belong to a race. The system of dominance is not a capitalist, socialist or democratic system. It is a system of racism/white supremacy. This system is also maintained by setting up an environment that black people will automatically hate other black people including themselves and that is a given. The system can't function if "black love" exists. We have to replace racism/white supremacy with justice to have what you'all would call "black love". Love can not exist in a system dominated by injustice. oNE!!!

Her mother was Black/African American. She could not pick her father out of a police line up to save her life. Her features did not show anything of having PR partial blood flowing through her.

Real talk. I've met numerous black people who always come out trying to play up all these other races in their family diminishing their black side trying to relate more to some other race or somehow hope to be closer accepted.

People of Color from other places, many much darker than the avg. African-American can come to America and take advantage of the Educational System and perform on par with "WHITES" from the wealthiest neighborhoods and most elite Private Schools, yet we as Black Americans still don't take education as seriously as we should.
So rather than the original poster asking why are we sacred to be "Black", he should be asking WHY are we scared to be GREAT AMERICANS.
Once we become "better Americans" like other People of Color that come to America, then 99% of our "so-called problems" WILL BE SOLVED.

You bring up a very interesting point about there being no definition for what black is. I doubt anyone can truly define it. Those that do attempt will fail simply because there is no single uniform way to classify the black race. The moment blacks accept our diversity then we will be able to move forward. Just my opinion.

I don't find anything wrong with people embracing their culture and ethnicity at all. If a woman is half black and half swedish, and raised in a household that embraced both cultures that's fine. But my problem is when you got people that lie and front about their shit, and claim to be everything under the sun except for what they are..For example, If you claim to be part korean, you better be able to tell me about the culture and traditions of korea. Cause if I know more about Kim Chee then yo ass then its a problem
With your example the knowledge of korean culture is irrelevant. If a person is half korean then thats in them. They have every right to claim it even if they know very little about the culture. I don't think thats a factor at all.
