Whovians!!!

I still got 3 episodes + Xmas it's been difficult to get through this season.
I'm a big Tennant fan but Matt grew on me.
Clara was cool in the beginning but now?
I have to make an EFFORT to watch.
Rose was the best because of her chemistry with the doctor, but the sister Wil always be my personal favorite .
This new Doctor. ..I'm just not sure. Great actor but there is a disconnect somewhere.
I just don't know.

OK so all I got left is the christmas ep.
torn on the whole Danny pink saga, if that really was his grans on earlier wasn't all this a waste of time.
and how come he hated the doctor but forgave Clara for everything?
Understand jealousy but it seemed petty at the end.
liked missy...but it was a little obvious.
And it was also obvious she teleported at the end.
loved that line...
don't trust hugs, just a way to hide your face.
why did the dr. hair keep changing?
Should make the girl in the bowtie the new companion.

Netflix Is Dropping Most of Its BBC Shows on January 31

Bad news for Anglophiles: Thanks to an expiring contract, Netflix is dropping the vast majority of its BBC content from streaming on January 31.

It's possible Netflix will come to a new agreement with the Brits before then, but, if not, say good-bye to Doctor Who, Luther, Black Adder, Fawlty Towers, Coupling, and Top Gear, among others

Bloody hell! NetFlix is about to fuck up the good thing they got going. Their original series,( Great that they are ). Will not keep them afloat.

Seriously, they lost Battlestar Galactica, BSG for you true squares, no L7 though. An of course I have all seasons on DVD. :D

But ok, now Dr.Who?!!

What am I paying for?!!

So if they dropped like, Peaky Blinders, it's gonna be what, the occasional new unknown, no one gave a fuck about release and a lower budget than SFY channel subtitled film, Godzilla VS Manhammers?

i understand

like I said in the original thread I wouldn't be surprised if BBCAmerica is planning some app or streaming service like HBOGO

Happy New Year!

Yeah, I would agree though, Martha is my favorite too. She was strong and knew her worth. And 10 knew it was his loss too.

Tennant was good. His hair is creeping me out on Gracepoint though (gotta compare it to Broadchurch).

It's weird though, cause I liked 9, (Eccolston, sp). Then we got 10 and it's all "I don't want Tennant to go!" *enter famous line from his departure episode*

Then we get 11 and with Amy and Rory and the River Song love dance, we all go "Aw!"

I don't think we have had enough time to get to LOVE 12 yet...but he's been cantankerous and angry eyebrows (you'll get there). My problem with this season and last season (11th last) was that the idea was there but the little details somehow got missing. I don't see it as an actor problem - "no one was better than the 10th!" - it's a writer problem.

I'm excited to see what the female writer is going to bring. Hear me? EXCITED.

female writer.. so stephen moffatt is leaving..?

I started watching it last week (despite it being in my instant que for about 4 months) after some coworkers told me how good it was. It started off very campy but I enjoyed it. I'm on the second season now. Wasn't sure how the show would feel with David Tennant as the doctor. He's highly regarded as being one of the best in the doctor role. I like the new actor. It gives the show a new feel.

Moffatt is still the showrunner but they have other writers too.

Tennant is my favorite. Loved all his seasons. Capaldi is becoming my 2nd favorite. He reminds me of the original doctor in his grumpy old man way

It's not that Moffat is a bad writer I'm just over how his stories are all over the place. I was in Barnes and Noble yesterday and saw Doctor Who magazine. Flipped through it saw a pic of Orson Pink put it down and walked away :smh:

He is my favorite to...I'm still on the fence with the new one but I am fan of his so I think he will be fine.

That's what's getting me too. They introduce things and then don't finish them. Or finish them half-heartedly (I'm still not happy with the Impossible Girl). I think Pink's ending would have worked if Coleman actually left but what about the boy that came back? Where was he?

Since she signed on again, maybe we will get to see Pink again in some way...because he has descendants...

In a way I hope that this new female writer will just keep Moffatt on track. Focused. I like the feeling of it all with Capaldi, but let's just keep a straight thought and see it through to the end of it before starting another one.

I havent seen this last season...i used to watch it on bbc but i dont have that anyone

Anyone know where i can stream it for free?

I binge the last 10 episodes of David Tenants last season. I enjoyed how they brought all the characters back for a send off. Seeing Rose again, Martha & Mickey are a couple. I just watched the first episode with Matt Smith. They didn't mention the year that he meets Amy Pond since they jumped 12 and the 2 more years into the future. So I was wondering do they ever revisit previous characters. I'm guessing no since everyone got a proper send off.

^Generally, no BUT for a couple of specials and certain circumstances they do. Previous characters pop up. Also, you will find that some characters disappear, only to never be heard of again...so those are loose ends.

#Spoilers...I think I caught the person who says that will be back in the next season.

Only characters I would like to see again are Martha & Mickey. Everyone else served their purpose or had the book closed on their story. It would be cool if the Doctor teams up again with Captain Jack. I know David Tenant returns for a special at some point. I read something about Jenny may be back but she's retired from acting. So they would have to recast the role. I thought the character would have made a nice spin off series.

I don't get the obsession with Jack Harkness.
Everybody is always clamoring for his return.
I've watched his Who scenes and the 2 Torchwood Series.
I don't find him the least bit interesting.
What am I missing?

I did like how Jack interacted with the Doctor but there are a bunch of other characters I'd love to see before him. Mickey & Martha, River Song, Rory and Mr. Pink.

too bad we'll never see Sarah Jane again :(

as for Captain Jack i doubt he'll return anytime soon, since John Barrowman is busy on Arrow these days

The adventures of Mickey and Martha live on in the books and radio shows I believe. They still have radio shows.

I got my hands on all the episodes of the 4th. And in a strange way, there seemed to be more chemistry with the 10th. But yeah...that's sad.

New seasons almost here. I think Moffat trying to pull something great.

I think BBC missed out on a spin off series starring Martha & Mickey with task force in the red hats. Diversity seems to be a none issue in British television from watching Luther & everything Dr. Who related. A show with Marth, Mickey, and maybe have Jenny as part of the team as more of a action show to go with the crime investigation of Torchwood could have worked.

Ya know?

Torchwood has been on indefinite hiatus for a while. It's like they cancelled it but they didn't, (I'd also like to point out that Mekhi Phiffer [sp] was on there for a bit). So I guess the hope of another Torchwood is possible. Considering how some of the people that was on the show got there as DW characters or descendants, the possibilities of other TW branches with new people is not that far fetched. But Martha doing the do on Netflix, don't cha know...

...hell at this point I'd settle for a cartoon or some really good graphic novels of M&M.

I'm just on the start of Matt Smith's first season. I'm on the first season on Torchwood. That's why I brought up Martha & Mickey and rather or not any previous characters return.
