Instead of calling him a coon, I'll say he's "white people safe." He's in their comfort zone.
I always understood what the message was and I had no issue with it…..freedom from bondage, freedom of expression, freedom to be your own man, etc. The optics just looked bad.
Exactly. Why couldn't he be wearing a business suit? Slave gear with chains is just inflammatory.
