Uh, no. If anyone can get that credit, it goes to Superstar Billy Graham, not Bruno. Bruno belongs in the era of Dory Funk Jr and Jack Brisco, which isn't exactly considered the "modern" era. Graham is still cited by guys today as an influence.
Flair and Double A
Shawn Michaels
Undertaker
Sting
and this man right here who i wish would've had a run in WWF/E

He was but I'm surprised to see him mentioned as a great technical wrestler. He became one but during his WCW run, he was more about acrobatics and showmanship than technical wrestling.

It's either Arn and Tully or Bobby Eaton (who deserved to be mentioned before now) and Stan Lane as the best tag team I've ever seen. But neither of them could be Flair. Arn was still a young guy coming up and Tully, while close, was considered way too small to be World champion material.
Glad to see Barry Windham get some love. Probably the best natural athlete to ever be a pro wrestler. That guy just seemed to have "it" as soon as he got in the ring. Injuries and politics are the only reason he wasn't a consistent main event guy for years.

No way. Graham may have influenced the muscular SHOWMEN that came after (like Hogan), the way "Gorgeous George" influenced the previous era of wrestlers (and boxers, like Ali), but Bruno was the first LIKEABLE and SKILLED "superstar" of the modern TV era. Wrestling was monstrously huge on TV in the '50s and then fell off. Bruno (first), then Pedro Morales and an assortment of colorful villains brought it back strong in the late '60s and through the '70s, setting the stage for the HUGE television explosion in the '80s.
There are some great names in here. Cats have mentioned everyone from Hogan, Flair, Kolov, Steamboat, Double A, and many others that came to (my) mind in thinking about this topic. Even cats like New Jack, Sabu, and Jeff HArdy got mentioned. That's what's up. That being said, let me ask a question about the Great Muta. How in the fuck did he hold that green shit in his mouth for that damn long, and then spit it out and have it be like a mist or dust? I've wondered that for year. Does anyone know or have any theories?I have a few others I think are/were the shit, but let me read from page 3 on to see if they have already been mentioned...

I will never understand the appeal of fake redneck wrestling.![]()
Damn, no love for HHH. None? I know he's played the political part far too much but he's still a great, great wrestler. Some people see him as a Flair-wannabe but I always see more Harley than Ric in him.
Fake redneck wrestling performed by people all over the world, including black people.
I will never understand the appeal of dropping into a thread on a topic that doesn't interest you.
@ trolls
If the topic were on GOAT heels, then I personally would've thrown him into the conversation. I'd put HHH in that second-to-third tier of all-time greats though, he gets props from me for overcoming the bullshit he went through early in his career. UD, did HHH still have The Pedigree as a finisher when he was Terra Ryzing or did that only come into play when he became HHH? I can't think of anyone who came up around that period who still has the same finisher and has never changed it.
Thanks.
I don't go into Raz B threads so I don't know why non-fans come into wrestling threads.
That's what happens when unsupervised kids and bitch niggas have internet access.
I agree that HHH is this generations version of Harley Race.
This generations version of Flair is no doubt Chris Jericho. I would say it was AJ Styles, but AJ has virtually NO MIC SKILLS.
.
excluding monsters like Abyss,
Shawn Michaels had it all
God Almighty. It's been over 20 years and I still have a feeling ofwhen I see this. Damn Dibiase was good. That guy could also work face and heel effectively.
I was born in 77...I have no idea who was runnin the 60'2 and 70's in wrestling. No way. Maybe I don't agree and can never agree because I was always a WWF fan. I've seen Flair's matches before and always thought he was a great wrestler but not the greatest. But then again, I wasn't a big fan of NWA or WCW.This discussion always has to end with Ric Flair.
