who would b ur starting 5 of all time? (NBA)

Wilt's great no doubt but i think head to head in their primes Olajuwon is just too good at the basket, away from the basket and on D to consider otherwise.

on defense, are u serious?

i understand Olajuwons offensive game was sick

but he would get lit up by wilt

and i believe wilt would get more defensive stops than Olajuwon ever would

O shoots jumpers against Wilt

Wilt simply overpowers the dream

advantage wilt

How can any first team not have Bill Russell on it??...11 NBA titles???

Therefore...

Russell at center...
Jordan,Magic in the backcourt...
Bird at one forward...Dr J or Elgin Baylor at the other.
My reason for not picking Russell is that he is way too small (6.9) to play against today's physical centers!

11 Titles dont mean shit in that era

every one on that team was an all star

while the rest of the league may have had 1 all star

he's still a bad mofo though

but he isnt better than Wilt

magic, jordan, Bron, Tim D , Shaq :dance::dance:

if i wanna run i'd sub j. kidd for magic an KG for tim D, an the orlando magic shaq for the 2nd championship shaq

Pippen over Havlicek is ridiculous, nevermind a dozen other great small forwards. You obviously were born in the '80s (or '90s).

:smh:

born in '79.

but somehow i got BILL RUSSELL on my squad. :hmm:

idiot.

u lost......AGAIN. take it like a ma....wo....BEING. :hmm:

so i guess i was alive when russell was playin huh?

You don't know shit about Russell. You're just trying to disguise your lack of knowledge of pre-'90s b-ball by including a "politically correct" choice.

u should quit this battle of wits. ur obviously unarmed.

Yeah, I'm the one who picked Pippen, and left Bird off.

I’ve said this before, but I don’t know how someone can win six titles, be a seven-time All-Star and an eight-time All-Defensive First Team member and still be underrated. Somehow Scottie Pippen is. He is undoubtedly the best defensive small forward to ever play the game, probably the best defensive player I’ve ever seen, and certainly the best player in NBA Jam Tournament Edition. The stat I love the most when it comes to Scottie was that in 1994-1995 he lead his team in every major stat – points, rebounds, assists, steals and blocks. That is insane. He was the first guy to do that since Dave Cowens in 1977-78, and no one has done it since. Not Jordan, not Lebron, not anyone.

you don't watch basketball then cause Bron did do it :hmm:
GO CAVS!!!!!!!!!!!

Russell would have a nightmare trying to guard shaq in the paint, and Russell never played against a player as big and strong as Shaq (he rarely played against another 7 footer.)

Pippen was a better defender than Bird. Pippen was the best defensive SF in the history of the game. That is not a bad pick. I picked Dr. J and Bird for offense but Pippen is not a bad choice.

I'm surprised nobody has picked Dennis Rodman for PF yet though? :dunno: At least second team?

Pippen was a better defender than Bird.

And nowhere near (1/8th) the offensive player, rebounder or clutch defender.

Pippen was the best defensive SF in the history of the game.

Debatable.

It's a terrible pick.

One of the worst offensive players in the history of the game.

Starting Five

PG - Magic
SG - Jordan
C - Kareem
PF - Duncan
SF - Bird

Bench
PG - Robertson
SG - West
C - Chamberlain
PF - K. Malone
SF - Lebron

Pippen was a great player, but being from NY was no secret that the back then Knicks used to target his lack of physicality, and his mental toughness.

You need to check the stats on the rebound thing...And he wasn't that bad on offense either.

Debatable.

Please do. :hmm: In the new thread I created so you can stop derailing this one over one damn pick. :smh:

It's a terrible pick.

One of the worst offensive players in the history of the game.

And Rodman was one of the best if not the best defensively. :hmm:

Again other thread.

When Kareem is your most 'suspect' player you know you are unstoppable

yall notice how cunt is talkin all this shit but dont have a team of its own?

yeah. im done w/ur troll ass.

*cough* knicks lost 2 the bulls! *cough*

BP,

that is an impressive accomplishment, but in scottie pippen's case there is one item of note.

scottie pippen logged 430 more minutes than the next closest bull on the team that season. in terms of games, that's about 13.5 more FULL games than any other teammate. so with that in mind, it's kind of expected (almost by default) that he should've been leading several statistical categories (including turnovers and personal fouls).

PG-Magic Johnson
SG-Michael Jordan
SF-Julius Erving
PF-Tim Duncan
C-Kareem Abdul Jabbar

Bench
PG-Oscar Robertson
SG/SF-LeBron James
SF-Larry Bird
PF/C-Bill Russell
PF/C-Hakeem Olujawon

So that says nothing about his toughness, resolve or leadership? :dunno:

C -Shaq

PF - Malone or Russell

SF - Jordan (I know, but fuck it. Dude is the greatest, he should be able to play any position) :D

SG - Kobe

PG - Magic or Stockton

you don't watch basketball then cause Bron did do it

the especially impressive part about lebron james doing it is that IN SPITE OF playing the most minutes of any cavalier, he was only FIFTH in personal fouls. 100 fewer personal fouls than anderson varejao.

did BP bring up any of those characteristics when he mentioned scottie pippen leading the bulls in major statistical categories?

it helps to understand the context in which scottie pippen achieved that accomplishment.

specifically, if an individual plays 16% more games in a regular season than his teammates, i expect him to be the team leader in several statistical categories.

simple as that.
