It was watchable, but I found nothing particularly good about it.
Especially it's treatment of black people.
Yeah, it's watchable when you have nothing else to watch. The writing, direction, and story weren't tight. This show has way too many plotholes and "random coincidences".
It would have been cool if the writers wrote the treatment of black people to show solidarity with the BLM movement BUT we know that aren't that smart or clever!

That's exactly what I thought. The writers dropped the ball. The finale would have been much more satisfying if Eugene fired off more shots and was able to hit the Mob wife, her son, AND Adam. Him getting off just one round was bullshit, it made his entire character arc irrelevant. What was the point of him working with Desire if they didn't help him get revenge. Not only that, Desire got punked by the Mob when Carlo got arrested with their $100K. They didn't get their drugs or their money back and didn't do shit about it, making them the weakest gang I've seen on TV in quite some time. They just kept taking L's. I think they really expected to have a Season 2, even though they covered their bases calling it a limited series, but since the ratings weren't there they just cut their losses. You can't do a one-and-done series and leave so many loose threads. It makes the whole experience feel like a waste of time.
This show is based on an Israeli show that lasted two seasons. I liked your ending better.

I did look forward to each week because of the various twists and turns of the story. As the father of boys about the same age as Adam, Carlo and Rocco, I found myself putting my feelings into the situations that came up. What would you do if your kid does something that’ll wind him up in jail and you think you might be able to cover it over? That’s the basic question here that both fathers have to face in their own way. Btw, I found all of the Baxters to be very scary people, including the daughter who is just plain stupid. The ending is serendipitous because he dies basically choking on his own blood like Rocco. No way Adam could survive in the world, let alone jail. All in all I enjoyed it.
Now onto Judas and the Black Messiah. Am I correct that Dominique Fishback of The Deuce fame is in it? I note it’s got an R rating. Hoping the tittays are on display.

- Black family... Blown up. Brotha framed for murder. Eugene about to catch life+ for Murder 1.
- Baxters... Son commits murder... Gets family reunion.
- Adam is fucking dumb. You killed her brother, playa! Must be some bucket list pussy. Should've cashed in that white privilege when you had the chance.
- Walter White...Won't be fucking that sista anytime soon. Doubt he gets any discipline as his son caught a forward-moving reverse bullet.
- Guess Mariano Rivera signed baseballs ain't worth a damn. The fuck is up with that small ass pea shooter Eugene running with. I thought he was gonna pull out the chopper.
- Back to Walter White. This muthfucka ran to the French quarter because his car was blocked in. Really? Man, if you don't run over that raggedy ass fence or play bumper cars with that truck.

You'll be lucky to get 30 years for manslaughter in Louisiana.
In Louisiana, second-degree murder is automatic life with no parole but the death penalty is off the table.
If you get hit with first-degree murder it's still automatic life but the death penalty is on the table and the only reason people end up getting spared the death penalty in the few first-degree murder cases is that the large amount of Roman Catholics in this state and the Catholic church's stance on the death penalty, which causes some families to ask for life in prison instead.
Good show but it's accuracy is all over the place.
