Where Does Lebron Rank All-Time For You As Of Today?

Road Rage can be amazingly dense sometimes. The shit is wild. I just provided this dude with a shot chart that illustrated not only was Lebron not a good shooter, he's at times been one of the league's WORST shooters. And he's trying to say he's a better shooter than someone in the fucking 90/50/40 club because he's taking MORE 3 pointers but still shot a lower percentage from 3 for them. You know the type of mental gymnastics you have to do to try to argue something like that? He sounds like a white person who sees a video of a black man being shot for no fucking reason by a cops but invents all kinds of imaginary shit to rationalize it.

I agree this year he has been one of the worst shooters, but if you look at his career numbers then compare them with greats like Dominique, Magic, and even Bird to a lesser degree you will see that historically his numbers are not that bad...
The big picture is they are shooting much better today than ever...

I agree that there are other areas, but if LeBron has a better deep game, and a better post up game and is better at attacking the rim, having just a better intermediate shot does not make you a better over all shooter...

Look at their shot charts. He's a good shooter from everywhere. Lebron's mid-range and long range shooting is neutralized by the fact t that he scores a majority of his points right at the basket. I'm not knocking him for it.. that's one of his abilities. But it's factual that he's a very below average shooter... that's why I was amazed by the 2 year run during the title seasons in Miami where his 3 point shooting rose significantly (and fell back down to earth)

Again this is one season a small sample slice during one of his poorer shooting seasons so from that we are to assume is an accurate reflection of how he shot his career... Plus with out Birds shooting chart there is no way to accurately compare the two..
All I know is that with so few three point shots taken, Bird numbers should be better off than if he were to take the same amount as LeBron (same way Shaq numbers are better being that he hardly take any three's also)..
So taking that into consideration for LeBron to have better shooting average than Bird really says something to me...

I never said he didn't eat in the paint, so your creating a strawman argument...
I said even if LeBron where to score twice the amount of points that Bird did in the paint, it would not effect the shooting % that is unless Bird were to shoot for a lower % in the paint...
What would effect the shooting % is one taking more low percentage shots, because remember we are not talking about the amount of shots, but the percentage...
Let me try to illustrate this for you...
Suppose LeBron ate in the paint scoring 40% of his total shots, and shot 60% there
If Bird shot only 10% of his shots in the paint but shot at 61% Bird would actually have a higher shooting % in the paint..
This is the logic I am implying not so much the amount of points LeBron scored in the paint...

Until I know both of their shooting % from different places, not just LeBron's, then there is no way to really sought this out...
