EVERY rapper use to be in Harlem. After school was nothing to see EPMD lampin outside my school watching cats break dance. See Rakim just chilling etc.
Harlem use to be ground zero.... (edit it may still be but its not what it was, not even close)
I got an ill experience going to High school there. The culture USE to be crazy, the hustle was crazy the style all that. Coming back uptown I use to try to cats y'all not even up on what cats in Harlem is doing lol....
I use to stay in Esplanade at my aunt and grand moms was in Douglas so I use to be out there all the time.
Harlem is not what it use to be. Still has flavor to cats that never been, but man brothers don't even be in the park on the drums no more. Our folks dying off in Harlem.....

IMO Albany is THOROUGH as is Rochester
and Newburgh is the worst... so they deserve the nod... all are worse than anywhere in NYC now-

LOL I was really talking about the Island back in the days. I literally had never been there. Also it was perception. My guys was coming back from upstate with paper and bodies. They said it was official up there.

yea big had 2 landcruisers the red and i think white /silver...big livèed on st james place was a block away from clinton av... used to see the lands parked on fulton st...i was also in the guru code of the streets video theey filmed near Lg projects also met jeru the damaja walking down lafeyette...that area was popping hood celeb wise

Edenwald was Bonkers! I use to have to take the bus through there when I went to Moint and be looking out the window like it was the badlands. I remember rumbling late night in the White Castle parking lot on Boston Road.
