This may be a dumb question, but i bought some stuff at the store for the first time using my debit card. It gave me the option of cashback. I just selected No but what is cashback?
Cashback is just getting cash from my bank account? I don't see the point in that. If I'm shopping with my debit card, why would I need to extract cash from my account if I'm already making purchases with my debit card?
Eh. But thanks for the explanation.

The beauty of cash back at a grocery store or something like that is there's no withdrawl fee. If you're into saving a few bucks where ever you can, it's a good way to do it.
It's free if it's your banks ATM, but if you're out of network, you get dinged for 1.50 on both sides.

Exactly.
