Re: what was ur fave scene (part) in Django...( spoilers so if u havent seen it stay

I don't think he brought that much to the role to be honest.
But then again, I've never really rated him as an actor..
He tried to play it a bit too hip hop, when it should have been more Clint Eastwood IMO.

:confused::confused:

Sam Jackson was so mad seeing a black man on a horse

That's like some on here get mad seeing Obama in charge

Contemporary.

maybe
i thought he did an excellent job
he wasn't overacting
he was unassuming for the most part
but he wasn't scared to speak his mind and he didn't do it in a cartoonish way
he spoke like he was trying to do whatever to get his woman back
he wasn't playing
i liked his portrayal

I liked the part where Samuel L. Jackson was talking to Calvin Candie in the library. You really saw who the fuck was running shit around there. Sam Jackson was talking all proper and shit. Then he was like "Those motherfuckas ain't here for no Mandingos. They here for that girl."

Let's also not forget, Sam Jackson was writing checks for Calvin Candie too.

"yea yea yea hello my ass...Who this nigga up on that nag?"

I died when Uncle Steven said that line....I felt like  but had to

Re: what was ur fave scene (part) in Django...( spoilers so if u havent seen it stay

peace

Movie was ehh as I thoroughly enjoy that 25 year old QUILOMBO about how they got down in Brazil during a similar period in time & worldwide African slave trade shit.

That flick was moving, had me clapping & dancing to the music and drawn in.

Tarantino's tale had me fall asleep right quick b4 geting to the point.

..........
One great moment was when one of the mandingo dudes started smiling and tearing up a little when Django rode off.......

This right here was a moving scene for different reasons to me:
wasnt any time for no theatrical pause moments of sentiments between once slaves passed the quick one.

Just a shot of kat riding faster & faster, like how the ORIGINAL Black Cowboys did back then, bareback, with a ridle in hand, TNT packed, ready to handle his handle OWT!

He wasnt on no Touissant/NatTurner/GullahWars shit, trying to convince those newly free.
Just on a mission where they happenned to benefir from what he was doing, all the while possibly inspiring, possibly not.

For some reason when Shultz shot the Sheriff that shit had me dying. "You got nothing better to do than to come into Bill Sharp's Town AND SHOW YOUR ASS!!!!!!!!!
:roflmao2::roflmao2::roflmao2::roflmao2::roflmao2::roflmao2::roflmao2::roflmao2:
He was talking that big shit until he got popped & his man was told to runtelldat to the Marshall while Foxx was like wtf
Now THAT was entertaining.

The looks without dialogue had me :roflmao2: when they rode into town also.

Wasnt no 100 or 300 :smh:
Just about 80-90 N word usage to be exact with Foxx & Same having about a quarter of that each.
Doesnt make it any better as they dug up all the 'Jimmys' & other slangs for Black slaves (that they could have used).
Just is what it is.

Maybe Tarantino threw it in faces to make some think of how much the redefined endearing & misued/misinterpretations stemmed from the usage of its root from the height & creation of the term during slavery's heyday so to speak or maybe he was just being the hack dick that he is:dunno:

A bugged out scene to me that had me chuckling was after Foxx caught his 1st slave owner/discipline men bodies & the whole Plantation support team came out strapped, some Black folk.

The irony comforting of the white child by the Black Mammie when talk about death & killing whites for $ had me  also

zxqpf6.png

Last impactful scenes to me were when he asked all the slaves if they wanted to see something b4 he bodied his 1st:lol:
&
them actually showing a female slave getting whipped :hmm:

That was Tarantino playing the Aussie @ the end right & wasnt that the homegirl cop cadete Shane from WEEDS was fucking with that brought Foxx & the dentist into the crib to meet Leo?

Almost overlooked them ass backwards fucks & that shit

Remember, he was just another self righteous, spoiled, inbred, inheritant fucking idiot who like to be called Miseur but couldnt speak no French:lol:

Shootout from DJANGO UNCHAINED (HD)

What was the original ending to the movie ? On the youtube comments someone said they shot it but tarantino didn't like it so he did the ending again differently

Re: what was ur fave scene (part) in Django...( spoilers so if u havent seen it stay

Slave runner in opening scene had limited lexicon, twice told Schultz to "SPEAK ENGLISh". Set the tone of movie for me.

Re: what was ur fave scene (part) in Django...( spoilers so if u havent seen it stay

ha .. good strong symbolism in that one.... It's was and is hard for them to keep us down and oppressed without alot of help from us.....

Hands down my favorite part. Dude was dying and still repping hard for "massa". Sadly there's a lot of Stephen type black folks out here today :smh:

Sheba was one sexy chick.

Not for nothing so was the gap toothed slave girl.

I just noticed that dexters dad had 2 roles in this

In the beginning his the guy the with the horse on top of him & the slaves shoot him

Them he plays bush or buch dicaprios bodyguard

Also y'all think this movie should have been cut in 2 ? Like kill bill , 4 hours long

The ending felt rushed

After candy dies and the big shoot out at the house

Re: what was ur fave scene (part) in Django...( spoilers so if u havent seen it stay

ONE OF MY FAV PARTS WAS WHEN DJANGO PULLED THAT CRACKER OFF THE HORSE AFTER HE CALLED HIM A ****** THAN HAD THE DROP ON ALL THOSE CRACKERS BEFORE CANDY CALLED HIM OFF:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

Django: Now, all you black folks I suggest you get away from all these white folks.

Django: Not You Steven, you right where you belong.

Django: Oh Cora before you go, will you tell Miss Laura goodbye?

Cora: D-Do what now?

Cora: Bye Miss Laura!
