The 2 Live Crew was anti-bourgeoisie and was radical in their own way with this song:
Wale is full of himself
And still salty that Kai didn’t know who he was
Of we let this AI artist stuff thrive?
We gotta look back at all this different

Dude, frats wanted to fight us on that tour, because of this song!
It was wild! When Luke decided to do this, I mentioned throwing some white frats in the song, but we didn't know any. So, Luke brought in these 2 white kids to give us some names. When this shit came out, and we hit the road and played college shows, dudes wanted to fight. The white kids didn't, they were just happy to hear the name of their soro and frat in a song. The Black frats, they were not feeling it. It wasn't on all campuses, but it was more than a few.![]()

.....that's a GOAT'd story, man. You're havin' me crackin' up. I always love little known stories like these: hey, man...why did Luke even do the song in the first place? It seems so random; I know he had a solid reason, though. One night, Mr. Mixx was working on some tracks for my album and theirs. He had a VHS tape of "School Daze" in the VCR, looking for a phrase to sample. While the movie was playing, Luke goes, "You know what? We should make a fraternity record saying fuck all the frats! When we do the song live, we can have a frat battle. That shit would be live!". That's how that song came about.![]()

Man, it's Spike Lee's fault ....One night, Mr. Mixx was working on some tracks for my album and theirs. He had a VHS tape of "School Daze" in the VCR, looking for a phrase to sample.
