My Bro In Law Is A Felon And Needs A Gig Bad! I Hate To See Dude Without A Gig Bcuz He Is A Hard Worker He Just Made A Mistake That Got Him Caught Up! He Is Now Off Probation With All Fines Paid! Any Advise On Jobs That Hire Felons?

Shit with the way things are now there aren't good jobs for any of us unless you have some type of education. With the prejudice he'll face in the work force, he will probrably have to start out in some low level gig or find a spot that doesnt do backround checks.

If you ever find someone to invest into your Pizza-sceme-franchise you can hire him as a delivery boy or let him cook the pizza's.Keep it a family runned business

Not sure about where you live, but I know in the Philly area construction is a good line. It's pretty good money (especially if you can get in with the Union), but you have to find a company willing to hire you. There are a lot of buildings going up in downtown Philly so there are a lot of jobs. If you can get on with a company, you can join the local union which will allow you to get better benefits and a higher wage. Again, I'm not sure where he lives, but he should look into this. Especially if he has drive. If you get there before the Foreman gets to the site that shows great iniative.

if he's in NYC....

bicycle courier...

we hire anyone...especially in the winter...most can't hack it though...if you're gooood, you can make decent money

Either this (below) or running a record company.

all depends on what he did:

- Restaurant waiter, bus, cook
- Bartender
- Barber
- Construction
- multi level marketing

- UPS Delivery Driver
UPS has been known to hire felons. They have moderate salaries and is a stable job to have.

- Join the army/navy
The army accepts people with criminal backgrounds, depending on the crime. Contact a recruiter to see if you qualify to join.

- Truck driver
Many trucking companies are willing to hire felons. Most likely you will need to obtain a trucking license.

- Telephone Customer Service
Many companies are willing to hire felons for over the phone customer service, because you aren't dealing with the people in person.

- Temp Agency
Temp agencies can occasionally find good work for you. Many times it will be day labor, so be in good physical shape.

- Independent Contractor
Many people will still use your services as long as you get the job done. If you work hard, it doesn't matter that you have a felony on your record.

Damn! That's Cold But Funny:lol:
He may not even qualify to for that type of job depending on the nature of his crime.
Crimes like Armed Robbery, Theft, you're pretty much fucked out of any position where you would be in contact with money or merchandise.

All depends on the crime so it is very relevant. If it was a "theft" type crime, forget about it. If he is smart tell him to go to college and then he could get some sort of work study/ internship in which he will be able to parlay into a real job.

If he is a nuckle head, shame on you for asking the question. :smh:

So many what? You sound white

so man felons... some of the people who work in walmart are still serving time on their weekends off. If i had to go to jail i think i would want to get it over with instead of having to go every weekend until my sentence is complete.

So many what? You sound white

I sound white because I said so many felons? Contrary to what niggas thinks all black people don't feel that damn comfortable around known convicted felons, especially when you talk about the shit like it was a 5-10 year vacation. Because if you think the shit was cool to laugh about it, you're more than likely to commit an offense again.

So again it's too damn many convicted felons in Wal-Mart. And try going in late at night, they act as if they were just released a couple of hours ago.

I'm not trying to offend anyone who has done time, IF you have done something positive with your life.

I have many Felons as students, and it is rough for them. They made a mistake, so I feel as though thet need a chance. I think it is unfair to not hire Felons. Period!

This is a good idea, but I do not think he can get a Federal Loan due to the fact that he is a Felon.
