We Need To Talk About Cosby (2022) Official Teaser | SHOWTIME Documentary Series

I watched it, the information was pretty damn interesting. More than I knew prior. Last thing I'm going to do is defend Bill Cosby. Brought that shit on to himself.

Bell using this as a career stepping stool is accurate. He's playing the game and the opportunity was there.

Bell is well aware that many folks in The Black Community are now looking at him with a side eye.
Hell, he says here that there were Black celebs who essentially told him to "kick rocks", when he approached them about being in the documentary.

But in spite of that; the brother plugged along and made his film & will definitely earn his socio-political acolytes and pats on his back from the "right" people....

Hold on even Noah told him no about participating in the documentary?

And gave a bullsh*t excuse...

As a black comedian in America from Africa or not no matter the age to publicly take pride in not knowing the work of one of the greatest comedians of all time? Saying he absolutely no effect on you personally?

Yeah OK... I'll let that go I guess.

When actually your participation would have been a very unique perspective as a non American black comedian

Whatever.

And Kamau says when Cosby was released for a moment he hoped the documentary went away? What?

He looked frazzled and shook still...

Don't do it then.

In watching this video below and other older videos of Cosby, I could make an argument that him and Dick Gregory were on the same wavelength and then at some point, white folks felt safe with Cosby, go figure..:dunno:

It's easy to see why white America eventually embraced Cosby. By the the time he was doing the Cosby show, he was pretty much doing politically safe comedy.

Then when he entered the "pound cake era", white folks were cool with him chastising minorities about doing beter while not really addressing the racial aspects of some of those same issues.

Dick Gregory never stopped calling out racism as far as I know.

Cosby was the catalyst for most of us attending an HBCU.....
He was also a tv dad like james evans......
He worked from home while his wife worked outside of the house.
His kids never had children out of wedlock or went to jail
He created fat ablert....
