yeah - UFC rules don't cater to this... plus he was hesitating and holding back on his attacksHe gave up his back too many times doing that shit. At the UFC level he would get put to sleep. It's looks cool tho

but in a street fight - its a VERY effective system

Maybe by an expert practitioner.
If you could explain how I'd greatly appreciated cause all I see is getting choked out, ground n pound, or slipping and busting one's ass with that style.

It's a movie called only the strong that uses that style.shitttttttt i'm mad we couldn't get more martial arts movie using that style.. i would love to seen a black raid redemption.. or a city of god meets some martial arts shit
thats what I was thinking..cuz alot of those wide kicks and spins looked vicious but if you take one or time it right...nite nite nigga..You would think that a good timing defense would nullify it at a high level of combat sports. If you have enough tape on a guy you find his opening and absolutely destroy him at the tail end of a missed kick. Timing (and quickness) would be key tho..
Yeah...its the kind of shit you don't try if you only so-so with it...lots of potential to get real fucked up...but if you nice with it? kicks coming down hard from all sorts of weird angles...could really hurt somebody with that shitWord?

that was their front in order to teach each other martial arts so that they could defend themselves during a revolt..make it look like a dance but in reality we learning how to kill you motherfuckers on the low lowNah, the slaves just wanted to boogie, bruh.
I was being sarcastic. I thought it be common knowledge for those that know about capoeira.that was their front in order to teach each other martial arts so that they could defend themselves during a revolt..make it look like a dance but in reality we learning how to kill you motherfuckers on the low low

as a competitive sport - yesWord?

to anyone that understands fighting -the angles are crazy - they move left to attack on the right, they retreat or fall to attack your head or upper body a jump turns into a leg sweep or ankle or knee breakthem kicks is no joke..i kno a few that kno that shit..actually kinda mad i found out to late my last yr of highschool that they was teaching that shit..1 of my ole homegirls lil bro took that shit in our school..that nig fucked up a few cats by himself doing that shit.. you don't see them kicks or expect somebody to do it but if you the receiver![]()
as a competitive sport - yes
as self defense not at all - there is no slipping because the system uses all movement into attack or defense- its extremely deceptive-
the leg sweeps and attacks to the lower body alone...
the offense and dance etc look flashy but the techniques can used in close quarters and defensively.
the counters are deadly - as an observer you have to look at it like drunken boxing to see the deception and leverage
