Verizon Wireless Heads: How do you limit Data Usage

I am trying to figure out the best way to limit my data usage. I stream the radio on my phone and my data usage has been off the hook.
Any suggestions on lowering my data usage??

Other than NOT streaming music, there isn't much to consider. Just had to have this convo with wifey. She just got a newer phone, and lost her unlimited data plan. In one week she hit 1G. :smh:

Either switch to a different carrier who offers an unlimited data plan, pay for a higher data plan so you don't pay coverages, use WiFi as often as possible, or quit streaming music....

i use wifi at home, at work and the free wifi optimum provides in the north east when
i'm out.

WiFi everywhere you know. Stop streaming radio, just make play lists or something.

Verizon LOVES the Data Usage.

I bought a jet pack for my phone and tablets, so I can have wifi while away from home. I have been able to keep my data usage in check for the most part.

Im with att tho but I watch videos and listen to radio at home. I limit my usage when I'm away from home. At the most i check mu social media accounts while away from home and browse the web. If i want to stream I connect to wifi at a mcdonalds. Or you can just buy more gigs of data.

T-Mobile, no data charge for streaming music

Dropped fb

No Instagram or vine

Don't youtube

I use my iPad to seek out wifi,

I only use the data when I have to, look up movie time, get a number, shit like that.

What is a jet pack? I have wifi at home and work, but stream mostly going to work and home on the train.

Turn off mobile data to limit yourself as you transition to listening to playlists you store on the phone.

The music streaming is killing your data inventory. I turn on the mobile data for GPS, sending e-mail ONLY when you have to (you can read email without data usage).
Verizon got me with the "FREE" tablet when I got my S5. I had to register the tab like a phone for $10/mo. so it actually is costing me $240 ($10/mo. over the 2 year plan.)

if you have an android...look in the setting and it will tell you which app is using the majority of the data.

fb auto loads a lot of videos....

IG is always a killer

leaving a browser page open that updates every so often can do it
