I am talking about the passion that Nigerian fans express when they play Cameroon or Ghana, and vice versa;
I am talking about the emotional level among the fans when Zambia and Malawi play each other; or Zambia
and Democratic Republic of Congo; Kenya v Tanzania... or Brazil v Argentina.... At that level, the passion is
visceral; it is not ethnophobic, since it cannot be racist... The whole purpose of sports is to incite passion and
emotion. Forget football, lets talk about the American rugby you people call football.... When Pitt plays any
team, but especially Penn State itself, the band leads the fans in chanting "Penn State Sucks"; OK
so the guy is a cac, and he may even be a racist, but what he said was not racist... It was abusive and, to me,
well within the rights of the fan...The passion of people like him pays the million dollar salaries of the
Klay Thompsons of this world
