I TRY to update mine at least a couple of times of week but its hard coming up with content and material then writing in a interesting way at that pace. I notice if I go more than a week without a significant update page views drop off bigtime. But when I do post something on a couple of the pages page views rise but I got to pimp the posts hard for that (posting on message boards and twitter etc.)

how often do you guys update your blogs and do you see significant changes in PVs?

Dude at the bare minimum you should be updating your blog at least twice a day. Not twice a week. You niggas keep listening to webbootie.

You know. I hear time to time that you should blog at least once a week. Seems like you should blog at least once a day in the beginning then once you get a following you can slow it down to a few times a week. I had a stock blog a few years ago and I was getting nearly 100 visits a day and making close to $15 a week. I fell off because I got lazy. If I kept up with it I would probably be doing cameos on cnbc or bloomberg by now, but I really fucked myself.

twice a day is not doable for one person...if it were a team of people I could see that but twice a day and meaningful posts to boot..thats not realistically doable unless I quit my job and blogged for a living...

You need to build a fan base by having a online personality. You will never make it on new views. You have to find away to keep your visitors around and coming back. Sound like you are losing more people then you have coming.

mods:lol:.please.i wish...

what members??..i got 4 people who joined the main page and they (like everyone else lurk) I see the page views and theyre up and down.. most of the stuff that gets the most reaction are the raunchier posts.

the message boards where I post exceprts of articles..but the problem there is people go to the blog read the article then come back to the board to post comments..depending on the subject i'll get 100s of views but all the commentary goes back to the messageboard.

yeah..check the blog in my sig..what you see is what you get..

i am just in the process of launching my blog so forgive the noob questions but is it a pay per click thing or did people pay you to post their ads. and if its pay per click, did you use google's program or another one...

the blog below I kinda fell off when I stopped watching TV and other pop culture things ... I'm trying to convert it to a fiction writing blog

I have a few other special interest blogs that I update almost daily but it's all for the love nothing pro ... usually 50-100 words sometimes just a video ... might get popular if I get some exposure

dont stop doing whats working but look at other ways of bringing traffic to your site too. social media
(twitter, fb), getting your link on other blogs, and especially keyword/ search traffic.

if the blog is just for you/ for fun... cool. if you are trying to build it up to seeing some real ad revenue then you might wanna think about defining your niche and focusing your posts on that.
