UPDATE: Donald Trump Takes Office as the 47th US President

Procter & Gamble – which makes everything from toilet paper to Gillette razors and Tide pods – is raising prices due to $1B tariff hit

The Cincinnati-based consumer products giant is struggling to maintain growth amid economic uncertainty and trade wars initiated this year by the Trump administration. P&G announced in June that it would update its plans to cut 7,000 jobs as part of a restructuring effort following the release of its financial results.

My friend is in the business of buying wholesale steel rebar, steel beams, steel sheets, etc. from inexpensive overseas producers and then selling it downstream to American homebuilders who build budget homes.

He got an email from his customs broker this afternoon that their order from Hanoi, Vietnam will be subject to either 50%, 70%, 110%, or 135% tariff tomorrow.

50% penalty for foreign steel.

Another 20% penalty for Vietnam.

Another 40% transshipment penalty if U.S. customs believes the steel is not truly Vietnamese.

And another 25% fentanyl penalty if CBP thinks China is involved with this steel in anyway whatsoever.

The customs broker told him to assume he’s paying the full 135%, just to be safe.

They won’t know for sure for a few months, and the penalties of being wrong are too severe.

Thank you to the party of cutting red tape for helping the business community out!

Is that HHH on the side of Trump? Man these cac keep telling on themselves.

Maybe this will be his Watergate.
Unfortunately, the Macmahons (and by proxy, the WWE and/or Triple H) have had a working relationship with Trump for a while now, and they've never really backed down from it. I would've figured that he would have thought better of making a public appearance during this presidency, but I'm not exactly shocked by it either.

He was at his mother-in-law confirmation hearing too. Anyway he's got to play the game.

There is no historical basis for using woke as a pejorative. White nationalism and white supremacy have historical references and significance. The people who hate woke do so because it promotes diversity and inclusion in ways that white conservatives have historically felt threatened by and hated. That good genes/ jeans campaign could have had a number of different types of women in it, including a non blonde white chick but they went with the Aryan wet dream.. because a company who sells products to everyone in the country and world seems to insists that the standard of beauty is eurocentric.
