UPDATE: Donald Trump Takes Office as the 47th US President

Finally. No one cares about that shit

I have never understood the Democrat obsession with trying to find a "perfect" candidate, but it makes even less sense now.

You have literal bigots and hatemongers on the opposition side, along with tons of people willing to cosign that so long as they occasionally mention a God that clearly none of them worship.

I will gladly take an L on a position or two to put someone with common sense back in charge of the country. Hell, that's how the system works, anyway.

What the party should be worried about is finding a way to motivate the huge block of voters that choose to sit on their ass each election and let bullshit happen instead of trying to sway the vocal minority of active voters that have consistently shown that they don't actually apply rational thinking to their actions. But there's not as much profit involved in that, so I guess we're fucked.

Mamdani walked right into NYC and talked about things people care about. He actually talked to voters. I don't agree with him on everything, but he talked about freeing rent, free buses, and government supermarkets - not due process, rule of law, tax credits, and fascism.

This shit is not rocket science. Current Dem politicians just don't want to talk about these "lowbrow" things. They want to message on political insider shit.

Besides the vacant lots, what else does the elected class neglect in the city? Do you want to win by playing Politics or do you want people to have food in their refrigerator that is inside of a building? The aspiration of the perfect candidate is a ruse to get you to engage in wanton moral amputation. They want you to embrace cutting people out of the political process. They want you to envision yourself as a Thomas Jefferson. The punchline is that most of us do.

How much will it cost for all of the "free" stuff in his plan and who will pay for it?

Have no issues with someone being conservative, but I have issues when these folks talk about opinons and not about policies. I don’t care about your opinion but what policies are conservatives looking to incorporate that will benefit black people?
