Unless they remodel the whole damn city, there’s nothing you could do about climate change in New York.

That's what you think now, but tropical storm flooding is what the coasts get. What do the interior states recieve. There is no place to hide from these effects. We are going to see record numbers and severity for tornados in the insuing years. It might be over for real.
True, I didn't think of that. It's called tornado Alley for a reason

Looks like Hurricane Harvey that hit Houston in 2017.
At least Houston has bayous though out the city that could redirect some the water into the gulf.
Houston could use some of that rain in a major way yesterday.

Where is that Birmingham nigga that's always talking shit about New Orleans?

He's not here.

In the next decade you gonna start seeing massive migrations from coastal areas on the West, East and Gulf coast with folks relocating inland.

I live in Las Vegas, NV which is over 2000ft in elevation.

Start making your plans if you live on the coast…

Las Vegas is higher ground than the California coast of San Diego, Los Angeles and the Bay Area which sits on ocean level.

Majority of the water from Lake Mead/Colorado River is allocated to California.

Folks start leaving California cuz of rising Pacific Ocean levels, Vegas will be one of their main areas.

Less water being used in California will be diverted to Las Vegas. Vegas uses less water than California. Also, Vegas has water reclamation.

Millions have been invested in Vegas along with what’s being built now.

Vegas ain’t going dry, they will get water here.

vegas has underground water wells that would last at least 100 years without water from lake mead or the colarado river
cali, arizona and the others would long be gone before vegas

Even Las Vegas ain’t safe you see what happened a couple of times this year already

This is the shit scientist and Al Gore was talking about years ago and it’s coming true before our eyes. As I always tell you guys, I am a hard-core Democrat but I thought Al Gore was crazy back in the 90s for talking about this but he was 150% correct about what was going to happen. The only thing incorrect was the timing because it seemed like this shit is happening earlier than predicted.

I hear ya but Las Vegas fitting to be 300 degrees everyday.
Shit gonna feel like hell.

You don't think the water is toxic?
People gonna start dying from that shit too.
Yes, but salt water on all that structural iron would compound the damage. Its why the used car markets are flooded with vehicles after hurricanes that produce a storm high surge further inland. Its not to hard to dry them out, but you can never get all that salt out, and it just stays there eating away at the frames, electrical connections, actually anything made of steel. You're right about the toxic soup brewing there. I feel bad for the young kids that will be outside playing in that mud, dirt and dust.

Yesterday was the WORST I've ever seen this City since I've been back almost twenty years ago.
On top of the massive rain that was going non-stop,
A Manhole exploded outside My job by 14th St. and 3rd Ave.
The smoke got so bad, and it was getting hard to breath, that we had to evacuate the store thirty minutes after opening.
And hang out at our Warehouse local for over two hours.

This City/State just hasn't learned from Sandy.
Our Infrastructure is a disaster.
Developers have no problem building unaffordable properties.
Because of tax breaks and various "hidden" loopholes.
But they along with City/State Officials need to be called to task for not dealing with these infrastructure issues.
All entities keep acting like these weather issues are "the first time" and shit.

Every time this type of shit happens,
This SUPERMAN story keeps coming to My mind.
It's deals with the total revamp of Metropolis after Luthor gets screwed over by Brainiac.
Thousands of people die as a newer Brainiac converts Metropolis into more futuristic city.
If I recall that story correctly.
