Tales from the crypt demon night probably was 1 of the best solid stories
But that wasn't an anthology movie it was one story.
And one of my favorite horror films period.
AND DESERVED A SEQUEL.

See I like creepshow 2 better than 1 but I know part 1 is universally thought of as the best anthologyexactly anthology series are dope and generally I prefer them but its always hit or miss.
That is actually a great debate.
What is the best anthology horror movie?
I think I'd lean towards creepshow

Just finished this
It's ok
As always with the vhs series, some stories are better than others
Don’t need a movie theatre when you have all these streaming services that you can put them on… actually I had an idea yrs ago, you offer money to a bunch of fanmade filmmakers for content and put them altogether to make a film.. offer like 100,000 per 8-10 min content.. choose the best 10-12 segments and there goes your film.. if it is a hit , keep making more films using this format.. call it “fear” or the fear series… you open doors for new content creators as well as get content to keep making new movies.. only spending a mill or lil more and flipping it … had this idea forever.. this could be jordan peele lane especially for black content creatorsBoth are great.
Hold on hold on I messed up.
Cat's Eye might be my all time favorite!
Its VERY difficult to do that format on the big screen and make it work. That overarching story with 3 in the middle that have some loose connections.
Shout to the best ever Rod Sterling.
I actually think Peele should try THAT next to save his current bad run. I know he fumbled Twilight Zone but there were a few good episodes in there.
I think a good anthology movie would work right now in the right hands.
Tales from the crypt, twilight zone, nightmare on elm street Friday the 13th or better yet Amazing Stories. All could be revived
Tripping lol
I don't remember a sexual aspect
I think the guy was just killing kids
I'm guessing hes not a fan of A Serbian Film

Even if it did have a sexual aspect, how would that differ from The Nightmare on Elm Street? Freddy was a pedophile.Tripping lol

Some people shouldn't watch horror moviesEven if it did have a sexual aspect, how would that differ from The Nightmare on Elm Street? Freddy was a pedophile.
You got that right. In fact, a lot of art isn't for everyone. Some things are supposed to be uncomfortable. Some people shouldn't watch horror movies

It's not mandatory but I don't see why it can't be exploredI'm sorry I didn't know graphically murdering little kids was some type of mandatory given in horror? Since when?
I am one of the most "accepting" of that art form MORE than most TRUST. But killing kids is my line. You can DO it. I do not have to watch it or support it. And doing it also doesn't make it "good" or some type of feat. ITs just my personal turnoff.
And its perfectly fine if it is not yours, but aint no way in hell being comfortable watching little kids killed makes you (generally speaking) MORE of a fan as opposed to someone else..
Everybody got their line.
That just happens to be mine. The minute I had kids that switch just turned on for me.
In the movie alligator a kid was eaten in the infamous pool sceneI'm sorry I didn't know graphically murdering little kids was some type of mandatory given in horror? Since when?

How powerful was the scene with the baseball boy in Doctor Sleep
In Doctor Sleep, definitely^^^ THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT I WAS THINKING.
It can be done. It has been done but not as graphic that is a rarity. And when it HAS been done it wasn't really gratuitous MOST times.
I aint watch it for myself. But horror fans I know were like Big Play? You not gonna be able to watch it.
And in addition, they didn't even think it was WELL DONE. So to me that would add serious insult to injury.
I trust you... was it WELL DONE?
In Doctor Sleep, definitely
You feel it
Oh the part with the kids getting it was probably one of the weaker partsI'm talking about the VHS Halloween one.
Oh the part with the kids getting it was probably one of the weaker parts
He was cutting pieces of skin off but it was badly lit and didn't feel real so it didn't really hit
It was decent up until they showed it^^^
I heard it wasn't good and for it to not be GOOD and killing little kids?
Nah I'm cool.
It was decent up until they showed it
Then it looked fake
I wouldn't say its unnecessaryI was told it was one of the weakest in the movie. And that it really didn't hit overall or feel necessary. Like I said I aint see it and so far no one has convinced me otherwise except for seeing the gumball one.
I wouldn't say its unnecessary
Everything could be unnecessary
It felt more suited for a full length film than an anthology segment were it could've been more fleshed out.
It stuck out because it was darker then the other stories

I liked the premisewas it good?
