Islip, New York (The Weekly Vice) -- Michelle Brown, a 23 year old Freeport resident has been arrested and charged with animal cruelty following what police say was an act of vengeance.
Brown who is employed as a medical assistant, was arrested and has been arraigned on charges that she tortured an animal in retaliation to a dispute with her ex-boyfriend.
According to police, Brown purchased two rats at a local pet store and then drove to the home of Sabrina Laroy, who is the ex-boyfriend's sister. She then ran over the rats with her car and then smeared the dead rodent's innards across Laroy's front door.
Brown pleaded guilty earlier this year to disorderly conduct. She also has three pending charges of criminal contempt of court and is also facing an aggravated harassment charge, all stemming from disputes with her ex-boyfriend.
