I can't give a definitive answer because I have not invested large amounts of hands on research into the topic. But in my opinion and from reading and viewing various sources on the matter some crop circles can be explained while other can't.
Many crop circles can easily be proven as man made. While a small percentage of others cannot be explained away, such as finding radiation readings around entire crop circle sites and the amazing complexity of designs that cannot be done in the dead of night in the matter of hours.
Farmers who have had the luxury of being involved in authentic crop circles have said they saw strange lights in the sky during the night only to find a crop circle the next day.
hardly anyone if anyone in the general public would know the truth for certain.
Its reminded me of one of the Mayan or egyptn symbols.
