If your small u have to be strong and 4 reps isn't enough, shit they said T New was one of the strongest players at K St and you see he still got knocked around occasionally. Panthers WR Steve Smith constantly stiff arms d backs and hrs tiny as well. Not good for the honey badger, whose nickname he choose represents an animal that never stops coming at you, this sounds like the opposite
I bet either the patriots, 49ers, Baltimore or bengals snag him for a players price. Get him around a strong team environment and you have a returner/nickel cb for 3 million/5 year contract.
I TRULY don't believe that being drafted in the 7th round would humble him, after getting cut from the team, getting busted for drugs and now apparently not even doing significant weight training to go to the next level he couldn't have expected to go any higher than a 5th rounder, the ONLY thing that MAY humble him is NOT GETTING DRAFTED AT ALL!!!
Making him a walk-on should open his eyes as to how getting into the league is a privilege, not a right!
He beasted in his field drills though, but we couldnt expect a black porn board to want another black man to overcome and succeed. Deion Sanders, who I think knows more about football than any of you, said he looked great..

i don't know he looked like a gamer on all the drills like a natural.
the only question is his head and heart
Dude, why do you people keep bringing up Durant? Football requires you to be physically strong, especially in the upper body. What does a basketball player have to do with some scrub performing lousy at the combine?![]()
I've NEVER questioned his talent, what I've said is for mind games, he probably won't go any later than 3rd round, and if a team is really lacking maybe a low 2nd round.
Sad to say but my Giants could use him!
they're saying we're going to get him. and i can't really be mad at that. our locker room has clear leaders and is close knit. he won't be able to play those type of diva games on our team. considering how many picks we have and how few holes we have i'm not mad at this
True indeed.
He needs guidance.
NFL combine the rep weight is 225
wow.....my old fat ass did 8 reps of 225 just yesterday.
Don't worry about it. He will be playing free safety anyway.
Sad to say but my Giants could use him!
No! Unless we get him as in undrafted free agent. We SHOULD NOT burn a draft pick on this dude.

So nigga but you can't run a 4.4 and prolly can't even run a mile. You niggas kill me compare yourselves to someone who trains to compete in high level athletics![]()
His lack of strength is surprising but isn't a major issue because what ever team he goes to is going to put him on a strength program. He'll have to get stronger out of necessity to off set his height.
He has cover speed but I'm interested in seeing how he handles separation. Can he handle the likes of Megatron, Dez Bryant, etc..bigger wide outs?
I loved the way the kid played in college and if he is available i want the Jets to draft him problems and all.

the kid has heart... and you can't coach that.
most of these salty ass wannabe GM's hoping the kid gets canned are the same bgol motherfuckers screaming, "black power," in every white gal thread.
i want tyrann and jamarcus and a bunch of other cats, who didn't have the best chances, to get a chance or 2nd chance. period.
fuck recycling all these same motherfuckers over and over.
Most you dudes in this thread know nothing about football. He was never a first round pick even before being kicked off the team. He was always a 2nd rounder at best because of his size. Secondly how much he benches is irravallent. He runs a 4.4 which means he can cover. And I never recall seeing the kid being afraid to come up and hit someone ever. A lot of these DBs getting 15 reps but who cares if cant come up and make a tackle. How many times do you think someone like Asante Samuel can bench 225?![]()
No offense, but your example was a bad one, and an irrelevant one. You're comparing apples and oranges.it's called an example.
and the media and guys here made an issue of durant's (lack of) strength.
clearly it doesn't matter, but during the playoffs, facing karl malone, charles oakley, anthony mason, rick mahorn, bill laimbeer, etc., durant would be a jump-shooting motherfucker with that frame.
another example, emanuel steward & angelo dundee did NOT allow their boxers to lift weights; they used resistance training (using their own body weight) for strength.
and being physically STRONG has nothing to do with lifting weights. weight lifting to attain SIZE has more to do with technique than the amount on the bar. tyrann might not be physically strong in the weightroom, but last year, vs alabama, i saw him take down trent richardson (bama) one-on-one. measure that in the weight room.
