Tom Clancy and Netflix's 'Splinter Cell' Series Finally Gets Important Release Update

…Gamers will have to adjust to a new voice for Fisher: Michael Ironside, who has voiced the character since his inception, has retired from the role, leaving Liev Schreiber to take on the mantle. No other voice casting has been announced. The actor is no stranger to Clancy's work, having starred in the 2002 adaptation of The Sum of All Fears.

My mom was visiting the city this weekend. Here's the flashdrive update for her this time around ...

About 10 - 12 movies (mostly newer and some older)

- The Gold - season 2

- Poker Face - season 2

- Dark Winds - season 3

- Stick - season 1

- Severance - season 2

- The Studio - season 1

- The Agency - season 1

Heard some good reviews for Stick, and have seen 2 of the 5 episodes thus far as of last week.

The series has a good blend of light-heartedness, mixed in with heart and optimism.

Happy to have added it to the recent rotation ...

Mom was visiting this past weekend and showed me a couple of episodes of this series. She's been enjoying it on TUBI.

The commentary team segments are quite funny.

Pete versus Life is a Channel 4 sitcom created by George Jeffrie and Bert Tyler-Moore. It stars Rafe Spall and the first episode was aired on 6 August 2010. It was recommissioned for a second series after averaging 1.6 million viewers and a young demographic during its first run, and series two started airing on 21 October 2011.

Synopsis

The programme follows the misadventures of Pete Griffiths, a budding sports journalist in London struggling with both his personal and professional life, dealing with issues such as relationships and trying to find work as a major reporter. He often finds himself in socially awkward situations and can never quite find the right things to say. Whilst he goes about his everyday doings, he is commentated on by two announcers as if his life were a sports broadcast. The two commentators often cringe at the humiliating positions Pete ends up in, and are unprofessional in their approach. One of the commentators, Terry McIllroy, is an ex-professional footballer and is loosely based on real life co-commentator and former Sky Sports pundit, Andy Gray.

Throwback Show: Daria

images

Over the weekend I started a Daria marathon. Back in the day, I used to catch the show whenever it was on, but I never really got a sense that there was structure to the episodes. I thought they were just random days in the lives of the Morgendorffers.

I'm noticing how the story does exact follow a structure and the stories do grow, if you watch the episodes in order. Also, by the 3rd episode I had to turn my Shazam app to auto-find. The amount of good music in this show is crazy. Music playing in the background on a radio or TV. Straight bangers. I forgot just much 90s shows were filled with good music.

This show is definitely worth a rewatch to any original fans and the comedy still works for those who missed it the 1st time round. There isn't much in your face 90s teen slang dialouge that would date the show (i.e. Buffy). Honestly, they could slide reruns into Adult Swin and their biggest issue would be the copyright hits cause of all the music. The humor would be right at home.

Ironheart

The show has the basic plot of an ultra smart person making bad decisions. What gets it beyond the basic are a few performances and turns in scripts in the first 3 episodes. The trauma Riri Williams/Ironheart (Dominique Thorne) is dealing with is interesting particularly because I want to know more about what caused the trauma. Thorne portrays her in a very good performance. Now the character of Joe is very interesting. I liked his interactions with Riri, his senses of humor, personality and of course his backs story. Alden Ehrenreich does an excellent job portraying him. I didn't think much of The Hood and his crew. Of course the comic book version of the character is more interesting. Not much development and some obnoxious characteristics are the fault for that.
If you are featuring a smart and then some character that can't come up with better resolutions that's also a problem. The show did make me think about the future of AI and it's possibilities. I wonder how many will be inspired to try to bring to fruition the AI featured on the show.
