This show is getting so much right about working in corporate America and the rat race of life. Plus the decisions that you make when you have multiple responsibilities. Then life throws several curve balls at you and you have to figure out how to come out on top with some anger and what's the worse that could happen rolling around in your head.

This series definitely has a Cohen Brothers vibe to it as i watch Hampton Chambers, played by David Oyelowo try to leave his criminal past behind,bond with his family and hold on to his newly found spiritual side. All of the aforementioned is easier said than done and i found myself smiling throughout so far.

Just finished...it was good. CGI was horrible, but it wasn't bad. I don't want to tell the story just in case someone goes and watch, but the main character acting wasn't great, but I've seen him in other stuff and he's better so it may have been the script.

I watched both the season and the movie to finish it and it wasn't bad but it definitely wasn't nearly as good as Warrior to me. Not nearly as good as The Brothers Sun or Into the Badlands either imo

As a fan of Badlands, that whole mystical stuff was very weird at the end. I really didn't want to finish it but i was disappointed to say the least.

To your point, it wasn't as good as Warrior but the way it started, it seemed like it was on that trajectory. Fights in warrior were a lot better and the acting was better as well..although I think into the badlands is the best I've seen on a TV show.

Yea Into the Badlands had the Hong Kong fight choreographers that Daniel Wu worked with there. Have you watched The Brothers Sun?

Both naturally fine.

I had to Google Margarita just now as I didn't recognize the name. Scanned her filmography ... saw her in the movies Spread and Adventureland way back in 2009, and more recently in the series The Deuce from 2017 - 2019 (watched that series after the fact about 2 - 3 years ago).
