TV Debate: Who was YOUR "The Cosby Show" crush?

Ms Braga was not shy about doing nudity in her films. ...pbs used to show some of them subtitled, and I just happened to be watching one, and out popped her tittays.... so when I saw her as Mrs. Westlake, I was like oh shit!!

this nigga found a picture of Theo's teacher (who was fine as hell) completely naked) reason number 2309 why BGOL is the place

Denise had my heart from the first episode...shit, I was 13 or 14 when it first came on, so she was like 2 years older than me, and I was in love with her.

Never could understand why everyone was into her. Thought she was homely, with a mouthful of braces and a very weird face. :smh:

Earle Hyman Interview conducted: Friday 7th November 2008

http://www.thundercatslair.org/cartoon/about/interviews/earlehyman.html

Comments: There have been many interviews sought out by die-hard ThunderCats fans wanting to hear from their favourite cast member or just gain more knowledge of their favourite show growing up – and we here at ThunderCats Lair have that same objective. We strive to provide our fans with the rarest audio interviews from hard-to-find cast members – and have so far achieved that goal. But there was one interview that, for years, fans have pleaded for to no avail... until now. Yes, we here at ThunderCats Lair have finally managed to secure one of the rarest exclusive audio interviews EVER – with none other than the voice of Panthro himself, Earle Hyman! For those who don't know how important this interview is, Warner Bros. couldn't even get this man for their DVD documentary. This is a man that's so reclusive that rumours have circulated about his apparent 'death' for years – including from his fellow cast-members! But we've successfully tracked him down and interviewed him in an exclusive, first-ever ThunderCats fandom interview.

In a whopping one hour and thirty minutes, Earle Hyman discusses everything in his career from his amazing stage career right down to acting on The Bill Cosby Show as Russell Huxtable, the father of Bill Cosby. Find out how Earle became an actor, what inspired him, and listen as he gives us a step-by-step process of his stage career, each project and his inspirations and love for acting. What methods does he apply? Listen to how he came to learn Norwegian just to play Isben in Norway – you'll soon find out just how dedicated Earle Hyman is to his craft. Some of his answers he gives to the questions are absolutely worthy of listening to again and again – as he tackles it the only way Earle can: with the powerful, deep unforgettable voice that most of his collegues and fans remember him for!

However, we wouldn't be ThunderCatsLair.org without asking him about his time on ThunderCats and Earle answers everything we've always wanted to know – including giving us a few unknown facts! How did he 'find' the voice of Panthro? This extremely personal story just makes us realize just how brilliant Earle Hyman as an actor is to be so insightful and deep into how he felt about the character he portrayed. His story is so amazing that it's worthy of mentioning and is one of my personal favourite moments from the interview amongst many others. Find out who Earle Hyman actually replaced on ThunderCats as Panthro not to mention how he felt about his work on the show. He discusses his colleagues on the show, juggling the show with Bill Cosby along with his stage-acting, why ThunderCats appealed to him and so much more. Did he prefer stage acting to television-acting? What about his current projects? Do people recognise him more as Russell Huxtable or Panthro? We asked him all this and more including asking him whether he'd take part in the new ThunderCats CGI-animated movie.

There are many reasons to download this interview – but if you still haven't decided, I'll actually give some of my own: you need to download this interview simply because this is Earle Hyman, a great stage-actor in his own right and a rare man to find. For all the wonderful, insightful and brilliant tales he gives on stage-acting, ThunderCats and Bill Cosby. And, most important of all, because this is Panthro!

We are honoured and proud to include the great Earle Hyman as one of our main, exclusive audio interviews and make him apart of ThunderCatsLair.org – and with that, we invite you to download, free of charge, probably one of the best interviews you'll hear from this website yet.

Bacon Burger Dogs
1 pound of hamburger
1 pound of thin sliced bacon
8 hot dogs (the real deal, no cheap ones!)
4 slices of cheese(split the slices of cheese in half)
1 egg
16 toothpicks
Tin Foil Wrap

Combined hamburger, egg and your spices/seasonings to taste and form 8 hamburger patties.

Spread out your bacon with every two slices being about 2 " apart.

Slice each hot dog from end to end, NOT completely through, maybe half through the thickness of the dog and insert one half slice of the cheese into each dog.

Place the dog on one end of the hamburger patty and carefully roll the dog while wrapping it with the patty.

Place this carefully at the ends of your bacon, which should be spaced 2 " apart....(2 slices of bacon per burger-dog), carefully roll and wrap the bacon. Secure bacon to each burger-dog with two toothpicks. NOTE: Leave each toothpick exposed on one side or the other in order to remove them after cooking.

Wrap your burger-dogs with tin foil and place on grill over medium heat, but do not place directly over flame. Cook for half-hour and then CAREFULLY remove foil from burger-dogs (HOT JUICE-Be Careful!)

Place burger dogs back onto grill for browning.

Serve with any condiments by itself or on a large Hoagie Roll - Awesome!!!

Fans of The Cosby Show in the 80s will remember the references in several episodes to Cliff Huckstable's bacon burger dog. His son on the show, Theo, was the biggest fan of this incredible edible creation:

• "Dad, I want a bacon burger dog!" - Theo Huckstable

• "Dad, do you think we could have a barbeque?" Theo asks, to which his dad replies, "I think maybe I'm sharp enough to whip up the best bacon burger dog I've ever made!"

• "Alright, a bacon burger dog!" - Theo Huckstable

What the heck is a Bacon Burger Dog and why did the Huckstable men like them so much? Well, when a hot dog is rolled up in a burger then wrapped in bacon then grilled to bacon burger dog perfection, it is the ultimate solution to that "Do I want a burger or a hot dog?" problem. Why not both in one neat package on National Hot Dog Day?

Bacon Burger Dogs (serves 4)

1 pound ground beef
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
4 hot dogs
8 slices bacon (not thick-cut bacon)
4 hoagie rolls (regular hot dog buns are not sturdy enough to hold true bacon burger dogs)
whatever condiments you like with burgers and hot dogs such as ketchup, mustard, relish, chopped onion, etc.

• Place the ground beef in a mixing bowl and add the salt, pepper and Worcestershire sauce. Using your hands, toss the meat with the seasonings until well mixed.
• Divide the meat into 4 equal portions.
• Form each of the form meat portions into rectangular "burgers" that are each about 6 inches by 4 inches.
• Place 1 meat patty on a sheet of wax paper. Place the hot dog at one of the 2 longer edges of the burger. Using both hands, roll up the burger around the hot dog as shown in this brief video. (This video is somewhat amateurish; however, it perfectly demonstrates how to build a bacon burger dog.)

• Repeat with the remaining meat patties and hot dogs.
• As shown in the above video, wrap 2 slices of bacon in a sort of spiral around each burger dog, just slightly overlapping the edges of the bacon. (Note: it doesn't show this in the video but you can secure the edges of the bacon to the burgers dog with a toothpick to ensure the bacon will not come off the burger dog while grilling.)
• Cover burger dogs and place in the fridge until ready to cook.
• When ready to grill, preheat your BBQ to medium-high. Place the bacon burger dogs on the grill and cook for 15 - 20 minutes with the lid closed, turning them every few minutes to ensure even cooking all the way around the bacon burger dogs.

Serve on hoagie rolls will your favorite hamburger and hot dog condiments. Also, try Herb-grilled corn on the Cob and easy No-Bake Baked Beans for the perfect side dishes to your Bacon Burger Dogs.

And for a cool, refreshing summertime drink to serve with this Bacon Burger Dog meal, try Watermelon Agua Fresca or Pineapple Coconut Agua Fresca (with or without rum).

Vanessa Williams - Suzanne

Vanessa L. Williams played one of the vixens that contributed to Theo Huxtable’s girl-craziness. Making a guest appearance on the show as Suzanne, Williams had Theo all googly-eyed. She has also starred in the movie ‘Soul Food.’

Naomi Campbell – Julia

Naomi Campbell played yet another one of Theo’s love interests - albeit temporarily, and while he was dating someone else. Campbell appeared in the episode where Sondra was going into labor.

Campbell has made brief appearances in other shows like 'Fresh Prince' and 'Ugly Betty,' but has largely continued her career as a supermodel. She's also famous for her temper, which has resulted in court appearances and a community service stint.

The Cosby Show
1984-92 (204 episodes)

2779924.jpg

This long running comedy television series focuses on the Huxtable family. Doctor Heathcliff Huxtable and Clair Huxtable, a happily married couple, are raising their children (Sondra, Denise, Theodore, Vanessa, and Rudy). The two oldest daughters eventually live successful adult lives and get married (Sondra to Elvin and Denise to Martin). As the children get older, the family gets larger and, to the chagrin of Cliff, keep coming home when he wants them to move out and live on their own for good.

After The Cosby Show went off the air in 1992, Cosby embarked on a number of other projects, including a notably scripted revival of the classic Groucho Marx game show You Bet Your Life (1992-1993) along with the ill-fated TV-movie I Spy Returns and The Cosby Mysteries. In the mid-1990’s, he appeared as a detective in black and white film noir-themed commercials for Turner Classic Movies. He also made appearances in three more films, Ghost Dad, The Meteor Man; and Jack; in addition to being interviewed in Spike Lee's 4 Little Girls, a documentary about the racist bombing of a Birmingham, Alabama, church in 1963. Also in 1996, he started up a new show for CBS, Cosby, again co-starring Phylicia Rashad, his onscreen wife on The Cosby Show. Cosby co-produced the show for Carsey-Werner Productions. The show was based on a cynical British program called One Foot in the Grave, but Cosby lightened the humor. It centered on Cosby as Hilton Lucas, an iconoclastic senior citizen who tries to find a new job after being "downsized", and in the meantime, gets on his wife's nerves. Madeline Kahn co-starred as Rashād's goofy business partner. Cosby was hired by CBS to be the official "spokesman" for the WWJ-TV during an advertising campaign from 1995-1998. In addition, Cosby in 1998 became the host of Kids Say the Darndest Things. After four solid seasons, Kids Say the Darndest Things was canceled. The last episode aired April 28, 2000. Cosby continued to work with CBS through a development deal and other projects. A series for preschoolers, Little Bill, made its debut on Nickelodeon in 1999. The network renewed the popular program in November 2000. In 2001, at an age when many give serious consideration to retirement, Cosby's agenda included the publication of a new book, as well as delivering the commencement addresses at Morris Brown College and at Ohio State University. Also that year, he signed a deal with 20th Century Fox to develop a live-action feature film centering on the popular Fat Albert character from his 1970’s cartoon series. Fat Albert was released in theaters in December 2004. In May 2007 he spoke at the Commencement of High Point University.

The same year, she starred in Chingy's music video for One Call Away. In 2008, She joined the cast of Tyler Perry's House of Payne as Miranda, the new wife of Calvin Payne. With lauded roles on film, television and the stage to her name, actress Erika Alexander's star shines brightly in Hollywood. She co-stars in the upcoming Tony Scott directed feature film DÉJÀ VU for Walt Disney, alongside Denzel Washington, Val Kilmer, Adam Goldberg and Paula Patton. A two time Outstanding Comedy Actress at the NAACP Image Awards, Alexander won TV viewers' hearts in her role as maverick attorney Maxine Shaw on FOX's hit series Living Single. She broke into the world of television after Bill Crosby caught her performing onstage and personally invited her to create the character of Cousin Pam on The Cosby Show. Since then Alexander has appeared in the recurring role of Fran Winston on CBS's Judging Amy and on the CBS mini-series Mama Flora's Family with costars Queen Latifah, Cecily Tyson and Blair Underwood.
Alexander transcended her previous comedic success with the gutsy role of parole officer Dee Mulhern on the Showtime original series Street Time. The critically acclaimed show ended its second season 2004. Recent additional work include pilots for ABC, NBC and numerous guest starring roles in both comedy and drama.

On the big screen, Alexander played Lucy in Steven Soderbergh's Full Frontal, starring alongside Julia Roberts, Catherine Keener, David Duchovny, Blair Underwood and David Hyde Pierce. She also starred in the movie 30 Years To Life – an ensemble comedy that premiered in competition at the 2001 Sundance Film Festival – as well as Love Liza with Phillip Seymour Hoffman and Kathy Bates, a Sundance acquisition released by Sony Classics in 2002. Additional film credits include My Little Girl starring James Earl Jones and Geraldine Page (Alexander's first film role at age 15), Miramax's 54 opposite Neve Campbell, Mike Myers, and Salma Hayek; The Long Walk Home with Whoopi Goldberg and Sissy Spacek, Fathers & Sons, He Said, She Said and the recent independent film Tricks.

Prior to her film and television work, Alexander honed her acting chops onstage. She attended the progressive Philadelphia High School for Girls and participated in summer programs at the Philadelphia Freedom Theatre, Pennsylvania's oldest African-American performance troupe. She toured internationally with The Mahabaharta (also starring in the French film adaptation), and most appeared in the New York Public Theater's Shakespeare In The Park production of The Taming Of The Shrew with Allison Janney and Jay O'Sanders and most recently starred in the Public Theater's production of The Story opposite Phylicia Rashad.

In addition to her thespian accomplishments, Alexander also writes, directs and produces with her production company Popcult Entertainment. Along with award-winning producer Jon Avnet she developed and sold the one-hour television series Concrete Park to UPN, and is packaging the irreverent movie reviews show Popcorn for syndicated television and internet distribution. She has written and intends to direct her first feature, the urban golf comedy, FORE.

Alexander heads Together Strong, a nonprofit youth and community organization, and has established a scholarship program for the Freedom Theatre's performing arts program to encourage up-and-coming young actors. I understand better than most the importance of helping others to achieve, she explains of her advocacy work. You've got to lift as you climb. Alexander is married to painter and screenwriter (Eraser) Tony Puryear.
