Turkey Leg Hut causing traffic issues

Yet it may bring in a different demographic that stayed away do to such crowds of people.
Their earlier promotion was catered to the crowd they are shunning.. if you seen their early vids it was showing that it was the new it hip spot, with the drinks, the lounge atmosphere, etc… that’s prob why they getting flack.. like you pushed for us and now you raising your nose at us

As the saying goes. All money aint good money and that's probably what they came to realize. When places get too popular it starts to attract unruly, uncouth people who don't know how to act, and who push things too far.
If you don't get that under control. You may find yourself out of business or have your business restricted (liquor license suspended, etc....).
Weren't they already having problems with the folks in that neighborhood about them even being in the neighborhood?

It’s not anti black but it definitely takes away a percentage of their demographic that was eating there, especially the summertime crowd

I actually changed my opinion on this just looking at their social media.

You can't say its not a club and then have hookahs going, advertising Don Julio shots etc. Unless they are going to stop all of that shit, a dress code isn't going to change the crowd. You can't cater to a demographic and then get mad when they show up. Maybe Houston is different than NYC but the first sign someplace isn't upscale is those damn hookahs:lol:

I hear what you're saying, but we get fly when we want to.
I never saw or heard us complaining during the "grown & sexy" era of dining and nightlife.
Maybe a couple of bum niggas tried real hard to hold on to throwback jerseys instead of a button-up:D, but most of us liked the idea of sophistication, even if only for a few hours.

Real question: Why do you think there's much push back these days even when our own people suggest we step it up for a dining experience?

They have food trucks all over... I've seen them on homestead in big city parking lot, on 1960 by the target in the Willowbrook area, food truck park off chimney rock.... they got a nice lil hustle going...

But I fucks with Moe's now... over in ntb parking lot closer to Wilson rd... the mainly do stuffed potatoes but they turkey legs slap too
I fuck with Moes too, I go to the one on MLK … I also fuck with that Midwest Coney over there in the food truck part off Chimney Rock …

Like I said it’s always diff demographics as far as consumers in biz.. you can cater to all, you can cater to some, you can cater to a particular group it’s all up to you as a biz owner.. some demographics want to be separate from other groups while others don’t care if they interact with other groups.. the thing is their biz got big catering to a certain group and now they choosing to deny them.. a certain group probably will feel a certain way if they helped your biz grow or supported you from the beginning and now you acting funny towards them.. I get as a biz you don’t want undesirable there, but you have to be realistic and understand you are in the south and in the middle of summer females tend to dress less naturally cause of the heat.. your loyal customer base are the 1s who probably going to dress less.. it won’t necessarily be over the top but certain things like shirts showing a lil more cleavage than normal would be expected just off of trying to be cooler.. it is what it is.. I just see a few things changing after this( more likely adjusting the dress code aka taking certain things off that they mentioned)

I didn't mean this restaurant alone. I was talking about in general.

Take the dude in Texas for instance. People actually got mad at him for telling people to act dignified in his shit and not twerk on his furniture.
People had the nerve, as they do these days, to use the poor excuse of Hip Hop being played being the reason they shouldn't have to behave. Like he invited it by having someone play popular music. Grown people actually argued that point. I disagreed with that argument then and now.

So my question is to find out your opinion on the mindset of our people fighting back so hard on a little modesty/sophistication?

I wouldn’t say our people, every situation is different.. that other incident the customer was clearly wrong.. the internet is full of people with opinions.. you can get 5-10,000 people to agree on something that is clearly inappropriate behavior but that dosent mean it’s majority of people thought process or that they agree with the wrong doing.. hell r Kelly infamous piss vid had some dudes trying to argue for r Kelly and saying the girl knew what she was doing and that maybe r Kelly didn’t know her age and other bullshit.. was that the majority of dudes? Hell no but there were a few dudes who were trying to give a pass for negative behavior.. it’s always gonna be some that agree with dumbshit.. it’s just now the internet allows you to see and hear it from all over the country..so that’s people just being people, you hear the term there’s always 1 well thanks to the internet that 1 can turn into thousands

Okay, so our people, internet or otherwise, why do you think they do that?

Meh. :dunno:
I only asked cause you normally have good takes on these things. (Being a promoter and all)
I give you 2 outta 5 stars for that one. :D

Somebody smart will steal their recipes and open up in a cac neighborhood. Make the parking valet and only accept credit cards. That will drive away a lot of people of all races that might bring bullshit to your establishment.

Hard to steal their recipes, all the employees sign NDA’s …

Normally I am pro dress code etc. but it seems a bit ridiculous for them to be enforcing that shit for something that looks like it is in a strip mall and called the turkey leg /Daiquiri hut. :smh:  Maybe somebody from Houston can help me understand what I am missing...

Those shits are very difficult to enforce. My first real job out of college had me sign one. If they didn't give you any "consideration" ($$$) and tried to make it too long/broad it won't hold up. I bought myself an Air King with the money I got from the one I signed and you couldn't tell me shit.

What the fuck is wrong with some of you muthafuckas? Ya'll act like there is only hoochie or black tie and no in between....I can guarantee ya'll that the TLH considered the customers they would lose and decided it was worth it.

So ya'll think that if I have bar specials and hookahs then I am asking for this?
