This is a secret I’ve told a few people.. use your city recipes and take it somewhere else and it will be a goldmine.. this goes for everywhere.. somebody from New Orleans can open up shop in many states and kill it with Canjun food.. somebody from Hawaii can go to other states and kill it with their recipes.. texas bbq will kill it in many other states..philly cheese steaks , Chicago pizza, etc, etc..in a diff place it’s a new face.. this is why I watch a lot of out of state content about foods to see some of their recipes and maybe incorporate it and possibly use it for here.. hell there’s a sauce I literally did a test run from out of state that I sold here to some people to see the reaction

Agreed. My grandma (passed in 2008) was great friends with a couple for more than 60+ years.
He passed of diabetes complications about 5 years back, and she's doing so-so in her early-90s now. The couple were well-known for having some of the best apple strudel around (old country recipe from their small town). They'd bake them in a big S-shape on a tray like a snake. Always good for 25 pieces or more once diced up. They'd bake several a week (for family and friends). People often asked them if they'd like to go into business, or would they ever be interested in somehow having their goods featured at local bakeries. Some way to get them paid - $$$. They'd always politely decline, but did do a number of 1-on-1 tutorials or small group classes with friends who wanted to learn how to make them on their own too. My dad would often drop off ingredients if he was in the area. Give them boxes of apples, flour, sugar or cinnamon, etc. Just to help them out as they were coming out of pocket for so many people quite often.
Took the strudel to work a number of times to surprise people, and they were very impressed.
Surprisingly the heel / end pieces were the best. That extra crispy - crunch to the exterior compared to middle pieces on the tray.
