***** TUF 12 ~ Official Thread ~ THE ULTIMATE FIGHTER - SEASON 12 - GSP/KOSCHECK

True ... tired himself out going for the back/choke, and was younger/less experienced and had Koscheck's shitty coaching behind him.

Kyle Watson is the eldest fighter in the house, and trains with Matt Hughes and them cats. He mentioned on MMA JUNKIE radio this week (he's their correspondent this year) that GSP has stayed true to his word and keeps in touch with the fighters on his team outside of the house. Told them they can contact him when they need to ... and he (Kyle Watson) noted he has texted George a number of times, and George always gets back to him almost immediately. GSP is doing a solid job with his team so far (similar to Rashad's team in the Rashad/Rampage season).

Yep GSP has really showed me a lot, he is becoming one of my favorite fighters.:yes::yes:

I've gotta pull for the homie by default being Canadian as well.

Props to GSP on winning CANADIAN ATHLETE OF THE YEAR back-to-back in recent years. Well-deserved. I would just like to see him FINISH opponents. Too many dominant performances that have gone the distance the past number of years. I'd hate to see him get hurt, as he racks up ALOT of time in the Octagon. FITCH / ALVES / HARDY / SERRA / HUGHES / PENN. He's been in action for tooooo long in recent years. Need some QUICK finishes at some point

True indeed, especially with that fight with Hardy, he should've wrapped him in the first rd. with that armbar, but he chose to give the crowd their money's worth.

True indeed. Props to HARDY on his pain tolerance and ability to fend off those submission attempts. There were like 11 of us at the homie's pad back in March and we were ALL cringing. Lol @ Hardy/GSP post-fight joking and GSP asking him - "How did your arm/shoulder not dislocate?"

Hell yes, I know that shit had to hurt for a minute.

Word. Really looking forward to CARLOS CONDIT / DAN HARDY. Gonna be a good battle. We're all hoping we see the CARLOS CONDIT (NATURAL BORN KILLER) like when he was champ in the WEC back in the day. He's been ok so far in his UFC transition period.

He's showed flashes of it but not sure if he will fully return. Don't know why but it seems like no one is really how they once were in the past once they come to the UFC...

Kos was looking sick as shit after those two losses. His team just looks like ass compared to GSP's.

:lol::lol:Hell yeah especially that loss to Cody. Don't let all that spiritual talk from Jonathan fool you either, that monkey looking cat is a stone killer.

Oh here is the link for those who missed it:

The roadtrip went really well. Left around 7:30am on Tuesday of last week and got in around 11pm tonight (following Wednesday). Drove (bro/I) approx' 4500km over the course of 8 days. Car ran smoothly throughout and it was nice getting long stretches of driving on the I-5 and plenty of cheaper gas-ups compared to Canada (we pay alot more up here which sucks - so it was nice getting better pricing throughout the trip). Made it from the westcoast of Canada to Redding, California on day 1, and then into Anaheim on the Wednesday evening. Hit up the ol' Motel 6 in Redding on the way down & home, and spent 4 nights at the Super 8 in Cali' ... leaving us more money for eating out and shit and buying stuff (brought got clothes/gears/new 4th Gen' Ipod Touch, etc). I bought some shirts and gadgets/electronic chargers. Went to Disneyland all day on Thursday. Plenty busy in Anaheim as they get 60,000 daily at Disneyland, there were 14,800 for the UFC 121 event Saturday night, a good 4000 - 5000 at the autograph signings, Q&A and Weigh-Ins Friday morning/afternoon, and there was a gamers/tech convention for the Blizz game or company for 4 or 5 days that also drew 40,000 people in the area. Hit up Sacramento on the way down ... CAIN VELASQUEZ is the muthafuckin' man and he had the region / arena / outside the stadium hoppin' and on the way home. It was really cool seeing all the hype going in and the quiet confidence/sportsmanship shown by him and his team at AKA ... they believed in their guy as did the crowd, and people went in HOPING FOR THE BIG WIN AND HE DELIVERED AND WAS FIRING ON ALL CYLINDERS!! Big traffic jams / people honkin' and cheering all in the area / etc. Cameras and cameraphones buzzin' in the building that night. The DIEGO SANCHEZ / PAULO THIAGO fight was excellent. Great heart from Diego and Paulo and well-deserving of Fight of the Night. What a battle! Passed through San Fran' a few nights back and visited my dad's aunt (82yo - has been battling Multiple Sclerosis the past 10 years or so) in Seattle and had some nice meals out with her. Took her for seafood by the waterfront Tuesday and a nice Mexican lunch yesterday afternoon. Things went pretty smoothly throughout ... enjoyed the weigh-ins on Friday as well. Good shit.

Props my man, sounds like you had a great time. Those memories are priceless.

Really planning on going to the next event they have here. It was a great PPV and UFC 123 hopefully should be up to par as well.

Yes ... it was a good drive. Car ran really well ... got to see a variety of places. Old Sacramento (downtown) ... Stockton ... Portland ... Eugene ... Oregon ... Redding ... Anaheim ... San Fran briefly ... Seattle for a few days visiting our 82yo great aunt and treating her to some nice meals out, etc. Good all-around journey at 8 or 9 days

Damn that fight was trash, Dane just does not have a killer instinct. Sako ain't all that either because he let an amateur stop his takedowns. Shit fight.:angry::angry:
