So many pundits have said Republicans can't do tax reform without healthcare but I don't see how that's true. There are Republicans in congress who have said they should have done tax reform first.
They certainly want to get one accomplishment before midterms so they definitely won't just wait.
They could make another go at healthcare, I wouldn't rule it out.
Can one of these cowards just come out and say "we want to destroy anything that black bastard Obama tried to accomplish". Who has a 7 year head start to come up with something in terms of healthcare, and they still can't make a plan that benefits Americans? I mean, give me a 7 year head start on anything, I'll show up with expert precision.
To be real about it, Gorsuch voted with the conservative coalition on every case before the Supreme Court, which isn't even true of Clarence Thomas IIRC. So their obstruction and then their puppet, Trump, who produced a list before the election to show conservatives that he would serve their purpose on this decision that could shape American life for decades (at least), won a big one there.
This is more Republicans winning (most of all their donors, of course) than Trump since Trump was just a vessel but he'll gladly claim the victory. It may be his only one in office but Democrats lost badly on that and we will feel the consequences far into the future.
(Also, the fucker could easily get another one in the next 3.5 years and then we are FUCKED.

Dude is applying some real pressure to dissenting Republicans, setting them up to be called flip-floppers if they vote against it.
But those Republican senators are going to be hearing from the same people and they are still going to be held to every word they said in the past couple of months.
sounds nice on the surface, then you realize the fallout isn't limited to his supporters.
Because those are the only people who would be affected.
Caring more about seeing people suffer than seeing people live is a sickness.
