Translators kind of have a weird relationship with the law. they're really asked to divulge a convo..but you're right, i would imagine the really bad stuff would be said without anyone around... but I could easily imagine things like sanctions being discussed with translators

From the point when they announced the meeting, I figured something shady would go down. At some point, we're going to find out that Trump sent his translator out of the room, and they just used Putin's (which I think they said already happened at one of those conferences they were at). Or something very similar, where basically no one from our side besides Trump knows what they were talking about.

...or maybe not. Trump is probably just stupid enough to talk about shit in front of his translator, then expect them to stay "loyal". Mind you, in most cases, I wouldn't have a problem with this. But Trump is shady as fuck, so I'm never a fan of giving him slack. I don't even know that I think he's a Russian asset, but I'm sure that he loves Putin so much that he'd spill some intel on something just having a talk with him, and probably be too stupid to even realize he did it.
