I never said it held up legally. Neither does half of the other BS they try to pull, and they're still managing because (as of yet) no one has called them to the carpet over it. Hopefully that changes.
I don't want to believe it, and I do think they're a nasty blend of arrogant and stupid. Calling something a plan or strategy doesn't mean that it's brilliant. It means it's their intention based on action.
So far, every time Trump has been exposed or called on something or exposed himself, even, the people that could act directly to stop or push for a stop to things have sat on their hands. So of course, him and his representatives have gotten to the point where they don't even bother making it complicated. Trump's core strategy has been and continues to be:
1) Deny that Trump said/did it.
2) Deny that Trump said/did it the way it as reported or for the reasons it was reported.
3) Claim that what was done wasn't a big deal or that everyone does it.
Somewhere between 2 and 3 is always a tacit admission that he did exactly what he's accused of doing. But due to fatigue, obstruction, distraction, malfeasance, whatever, there's never enough blowback in that process to create real damage. At least by broad observation, anyway. So they keep doing it. I don't think that it'll keep working out for them, but I think this crew will ignore the slow bleeding until it's finally too late.

I wasn't clear I guess. I'm saying that any rational mind would want to think this was "planned" because why would you lawyer go on TV and admit to the core accusation? If his Trump and the Ghoul coordinated this (it's OBVIOUS the WH was kept in the dark. They've as much said so), it leaves them open to incredible legal exposure and also pits them against Cohen. Doesn't make sense any way you look at it unless they know for a fact that it's about to come out in the media and they want to get ahead of it (those Cohen tapes or phones).

This is nothing more than an a calculated distraction. They're still playing games. This morning FOX News coverage comments sounded similar to MSNBC. This story was to sway voters, another attempt to minimize the importance of Stormy Daniels sand to promote Trump's narrative. Its a planted story to misdirect the press.
He's been playing the same games all along, character assassinations and misdirection and discredit.
