Transformers was Extremely Racist!

People who liked this movie are the same who buy a fake rolex because it's "sparkley." This movie can best be described as, explosion, explosion, fight, funny moment, explosion, black person yell out a stereotype, explosion, turn the music sad and have a semi emotional scene, , explosion, monologue, end. The movie has no substance, it try's so hard to spark emotion in the same way the same way pearl harbor did, with a lot of slow motion and sad music. Any substance the movie trys to have are made by an Optimus Prime that we barely get to know, in two monologues, one 30 minutes before the end, and one at the end. This movie is full of pointless characters and pointless scenes, like a drawn out scenes in which the Autobots play hide-and-seek in the main characters back yard, am I the only one who finds it absurd that a 3 2 story tall Optimus Prime is standing in a back yard and not a single person notices? There is a brutal scene in which two respected actors disgrace themselves. Toturo and Voight find themselves in a 10 minute long absolutely irrelivant scene where they try and battle a mischievious stereo in the back room of a military base. Lastly I need to say it... the racial undertones are getting annoying. I'm a white guy, but it pains me to see an entire movie with strong white characters and the only 3 black actors are obviously told by Bay to be "black." Shooting out bad one liners like "DAMN!" and "BUST THIS!" Not to mention a sly dirty car salesman who talks about his "Mammy." The one smart black character likes to eat doughnuts, dance, and turns on his friends during interrigation. We wonder what is perpetuating racial stereotypes? In all I can watch the Transformers transform all day, it was cool... but that's all it was, a lot of great special effects held together by a really bad plot that only Michael Bay could sell to us.

Yeah, I been known the dude - he's "Scatman" Crothers - he's done a ton of voice work and goes back in Black cinema decades. Both Panthro and Jazz while attempts to inject diversity of character into their respective shows, inadvertently end up not being overly ridiculous caricatures of people somebody thinks they know. The Jazz of the 80's cartoon stands with Panthro and the cartoon Mace Windu. Jazz of the new film is chillin' wit Big Lob and Roadblock.

You see a man in leather chaps, a 10 gallon hat, spittin' tobacco with a lasso what are you thinkin' he does? You see an olive colored European in a jogging suit, gold chains sayin' 'fugedaboutit' every third word and what do you think? And again, I have to say that even if you don't think there were racial undertones in the movie, you are completely blind to say that there was no racism based on the fact that Jazz is a robot. The character Jazz was a portrayal. It matters not what the physical embodiment was, because you have to read between the lines. If it wasn't a robot, but a talking sheep instead, it would not make a difference. As much as some of you want to say people are reaching, its just as amazing to me to see so many responses saying its just a movie, or he's just a robot, etc because it leads me to believe that as black people, you just don't care and you accept the racism right in front of your face. This is the reason that nothing is ever done about it; we just let it fly. Seriously, what does it take for some of you to wake up and REALLY open your eyes to whats around you? Speedy Gonzalez was erased because Mexicans had a problem with him. Oh but he was just a talking cartoon rat. Jazz wasn't a real robot you clowns, he obviously was given his personality and characteristics/mannerisms by the director and writer, i.e he was a puppet based on someone else's POV of your typical hiphop street dude. If that doesn't define how black people are seen by the media and the white man, then I don't know what else to say to you. Again, I feel that the racial jokes/stabs/portrayals in this movie were just completely out of place and were 100% irrelevant in regards to the bigger picture. I already explained in my previous post that it wasn't just Jazz. There were other races who caught jabs too, but of course not the white man. It was just uncalled for and unnecessary.

You have to either be completely, purposefully dodging the issue or a complete fool to ask that question. In case you didn't know, black people did not make the movie, nor did they create the characters. With the writer and director being rich white men, WHO DO YOU THINK IS THE "NIGGA-BOT," Jazz or Optimus Prime?. I am completely baffled at some of the responses in here. Its as if we are defending whats wrong and agreeing with these false portrayals, essentially giving it the thumbs up. I said it before but it might not have been in this thread. Look at the sambo Coltrane in Gears of War. He was the loud, cussing, shoot first ask questions later, comic relief token black man of the crew. It happens every single time. If the people in charge aren't black, rarely do black people get the lead role or even the respectful, commander. What I want to know is why people are so quick to brush it off as nothing, rather than to, at the very least, attempt to truly look beyond the cover and ask yourself why.

I see all this complaining about a racist movie when Optimus Prime sounded black, Tyrese was the Tac P in the movie calling in the airstrikes. Possibly one of the most important people embedded in an army unit because he calls in the airstrikes. Ypu had the all white unit sector 7 which were a bunch of clowns. All of the whites in the school were stuck up and stupid and the white girls dad was a car thief. The italian dude in sector 7 was the dumbest of all. The boys parents were complete idiots. Oh by the way the way the fat black dude was the only one smart enough to break the code. Its to bad when black people can't see the positive without looking at the negative.
To sum it up the Tyrese called in the airstrikes and figured out which rounds did the damage, also the most important person in the unit. Also took the video footage. Anthony Anderson broke the code that allowed them to defeat the deceptacons. Optimus sounds black and is the leader of the deceptacons. What the hell did the white people in this movie do besides fuck up!!
