Ingredients
- 2 tbsp.
olive oil, plus more for the grill - 2 tbsp.
balsamic vinegar - 1 1/2 tsp.
kosher salt - 1/2 tsp.
black pepper - 1/2 tsp.
crushed red pepper flakes - 2
garlic cloves, finely chopped - 2
medium heads of broccoli cut into large 2-by-4-inch spears - Juice of 1/2 lemon
Directions
- Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium heat. Lightly brush the grates or pan with oil.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the olive oil, balsamic vinegar, black pepper, red pepper flakes, garlic, and 1 teaspoon salt. Add the broccoli spears and toss to coat. Allow to stand for 15 minutes and up to 2 hours.
- Sprinkle the broccoli with the remaining ½ teaspoon salt. Grill the spears, covered, flipping once halfway through, until the stems start to brown and the florets begin to char, 8 to 10 minutes.
- Transfer the broccoli to a platter and squeeze over the juice.
