Thirty years ago, he was going to transform the NBA!

I remember someone saying Ralph Sampson and Charles Barkley should have switched names...

Barkley played like a Sampson....and there was a lot of dog in Ralph.

I just checked out some Sampson clips on youtube...

...damn. I wasn't expecting dude to move like THAT at his height. Dude's movements were very fluid, and he was very athletic.

Yeah, that has to be one of the biggest 'what if's' in NBA history.

Ralph Sampson had crazy athletic ability at his height. if not for injury he would have been in the conversation for best center ever. his wingspan was unbelievable.

Sampson was incredibly frustrating....he could do all those things on a court, but the things a big man HAS to do he didn't want to do.
Put Ralph Sampson's talent with Tim Duncan's fundamentals and you'd have the renaissance man Magic was talking about

there were times when you could tell he did not give a damn....like he only played because he was tall and people expected him to
PS: It would have been interesting to see what he would do with Shaq
