Thinking about leaving the USA !!!!!

I find it amazing that in a country as vast as the U.S people want to bail and even cite the weather

What about the west coast??? I am a Londoner- born and raised

It is the one of the most expensive, over -hyped, filthy and rudest
places in the world. The British food and weather is bloody awful

If not for the racism that exists in other parts of Europe and the Southern Hemisphere, I would quit this overpopulated tiny island in a heartbeat

If you don't like the weather where you are, how about LA or Miami??

What you eating British food for??
Get your girl to cook for you or eat out at the multitude of different ethnic cuisines that exist in the London metropolis!!!
Why don't you move to the land of your parents?

It's funny you mentioned London. I'm thinking of moving there.

My diet is varied. Had some good Moroccan food this afternoon

I am just reminding people of what they potentially could encounter. By the way, my parents came from Nigeria

The fuck I am moving back there for? All my family is here

Are you trying to deport me???

Here are some more suggestions. Instead of moving overseas, what about Canada? High taxes, but beautiful women and many of the businesses and customs that you're used to. I visited Toronto a few years ago and it was a great blend of Western and European cultures. Even watched the Caribana parade (like a Canadian Mardi Gras).

Or move out of the continental U.S. to Hawaii. It’s actually not as expensive there as you might think. I was in Honolulu/Waikiki in 2004 from May to June and had the time of my life. They have all of the same stores you’re used to in the U.S. mainland (e.g., Taco Bell, KFC, Denny’s, etc). So, you can get by without eating expensive foods all the time. I met a lot of Black people there who came for a visit, found a job and decided to stay.

Take a 5 week trip to wherever you want to move to.

I would venture to say 90% of the folks on this board talking about moving to a new country will come back after the 5 weeks never to speak of moving again.

Alot of developing countries have intermittent electricity, slooow internet, high crime rates, unstable governments, and none of the creature comforts that we take for granted.

Still I love Ghana, South Africa, London and would love to checkout Brazil, DR, Japan.

I did some traveling in South America and could see myself living in Lima Peru... The weather is nice, people are nice, and you can make a decent living teaching English as a native speaker.

I also wouldn't mind living in Colombia.. I visited the cities on the northern coast (Cartagena, Barranquilla & Santa Marta) and there is an abundance of naturally beautiful women... I've never been to Brazil but I'll be impressed if the women there are more beautiful... Again you can make a decent living teaching English as a native speaker as they are in short demand. You cant get rich, but you could live a basic life style.

I'd do Hawaii in a heartbeat and never look back.......Visited when I was 13! Oahu was ok....but Maui was :eek::eek:! Stayed on Maui for a week & actually met quite a few black folks who relocated! Although it was a little more expensive than the mainland, I'd still do it if I had the opportunity......

I'm stationed here in Hawaii and Oahu has its ups and downs. Depending on what you do for a living, Hawaii is expensive as fuck. The other thing that fucks it up is its too much military here. I still think this place should be a territory instead of a state but ohwell. Plus side is the beautiful ass weather. Folks back home in DC cold as shit asking why I wont come home for leave. Im like fuck outta here its warm and nice here. Bitter ass cold there. Also there is a good amount of nightlife. I havent really got out out like that yet but I know for visiting purposes there is alot to do(especially if your outdoorsy). As far as chicks go you got a different blend of pretty much every pacific island/asian country you can think of.

And for you emilitants the locals here really dont like white people that much. They dont mind black folks or folks of color but I guess do to the history of the Island, they got some resentment towards white folks.

Have you actually put serious thought into this? Because thousands of disenchanted Americans who are unhappy with their lives in the states flock to foreign countries every year to realize the grass isnt always greener on the other side then go running back to the US when they realize their fairy tale of being an expatriate was not all its cracked up to be.

Hi, electrik_relaxation. Nice to meet you. Out of curiosity, have you ever read a book titled The Ugly Americans? If not, I think there is a possibility you would THOROUGHLY enjoy it.

And to the OP, my suggestions are:

He'll be back in 2.5 weeks.

I would'nt if I were you.

Have you spent any time there?

It's a miserable place, traffic, dirty, overpriced, overpopulated.

This sums up what London is really like.

I have a frown on my face every minute I am there.

I've been living In Japan for nearly a decade and have very little complain about over here. I'd recommend moving to Japan if you're open-minded. The general quality of life is high, good healthcare system, most people are very respectable, latest technology, etc.

I always hear good things about Japan. I have a friend that went to Kyushu last year.

 They don't even know... it's the second largest island on the planet, and still a hidden gem when it comes to it's lush scenery and beautiful beaches.

My pops goes back about once a year, and I swear the time he spends there gets larger and larger. 1 month turned into 2, 2 turned into 3... One day, he just aint coming back.

Some of the bluest water on planet earth, and i've been to the Caribbean!

"Caribbean Enterprise Forum - Live from Karibe Hotel in Haiti

The Caricom Ambassador who is from St. Lucia says we have to change the image of Haiti as unsafe. He says he attended the Haitian Carnival and saw 1,000,000 people party and dance until 2AM without one reported death. He says at his own carnival in St.Lucia, the festivities were shut down at 6pm for fear of violence. He asks which country is more dangerous. He says we have to change Haiti's unjustified image as unsafe

You can say what you want, I have friends from haiti, and from what they tell me. It is the worst place on earth. I don't mean to offend you if you are from there, but I would rather die than go there. The hatian friends I have, explained to me how the government works down there and the crime and lawlessness and how the people are. They are the ones that said they don't want to go back there even though they have family there. One told me she would rather die than go back. Since I've never been, I said I'd rather die, judging by what they have told me.

Fuck the bullshit!!
JAPAN-- Women love black men. Food. Tech. Cool with americans.
HAWAII-- Women. Food. Luau. Still USA. Cool with black folks. weather. take up surfing as a hobby but don't fuck with the locals!!
:itsawrap::dance:
I would chose Hawaii though.

What she said.

Interesting thread. I've considered a move out of the US to South African. Recently came back from Trinidad and thought it interesting. I'm headed to Costa Rica next year, never been.

I know but I lost my job and my health insurance. I am still a citizen of the UK. I heard unemployment is 7.8% and the other half of my family still lives there. However, I can't stand the cold.
