The Zimmerman Trial: Justice for Trayvon! (Let's discuss it)

Trayvon wasn t legally allowed to get a CCW....so now what should he have done?

Trayvon couldnt get the CCW, However if you read the entire post I said "we" should be patrolling our streets (those of us who can get CCW's) and even if not armed with a gun, I'll add to it that everyone has a camera whether stand alone or in your phone.

Add to that further we can all equip our homes, vehicles, and our persons with small digital video cams. (they are cheap and small enough to not even be detected, ever the night vision models)

Key thing is there will always be witnesses, always be video evidence, so even if my rant in anger (justifiably) cannot be carried out in every place due to local laws, we can still put "eyes" on the situation which was lacking in Trayvon's case.

If there was witnesses or video, even if the Prosecution was in the tank (which they most likely are) with special interests the jury will have no "out" and will have to convict.

man why don t yall get that the case could have been perfect and they still would have acquitted him.......

it aint got shit to do with filming and taping.....6 ww on a jury....period....that is the reason for the verdict.....

just adding my post verdict post to the thread on GP.

I really didn't want to post anything last night, or today for that matter.

numb to everything... that is all

IMO, the case was over when the state's witness said on the stand that under Florida law a person can start a fight, be losing, & use deadly force to defend themselves. How can the state ever win in this situation (assuming the defendant isn't Black)? If all that needs to be there in a case of self defense is for the defendant to "perceive" that his life is in danger...how do you ever disprove a mental state?

Exactly. I didn't know about that shit(concerning Florida law). I doubt most people did. I bet Zimmerman knew. When you get your CCL in Ohio, you basically learn what you can and cannot do. Best believe we can't pull any of the shit you can pull in Florida. But Zimmerman knew that. :smh:

And to answer your question, witnesses. Without witnesses, the state is basically fucked. That's how they convicted the older black man who tried to use STG. Witnesses testimony about him brandishing and then pulling the gun. Without that testimony, he walks.

If Rachel's testimony had included something about a gun, Zimmerman would have been done. That would have proved he approached with the gun out.

And if that's the case that the jury verdict ignores all evidences or the prosecution puts on a show trial as was done here, then the D.O.J can easily come in and trial the case and get that conviction, but with anything in Law there has to be something to hang the proverbial hat on to overturn a conviction or acquittal. With no witnesses and an acquittal by jury its now gonna be a steep uphill battle for D.O.J if there's no "New" evidence to go on.

don t know about this one.....although I would bet that 6 wm would find him innocent in the end....more than guilty....

there is definitely more racism in ww....than wm....easily...

and they are very passive aggressive about it....just like the schoolyard analogy...

they didn t even get interviewed....typical

the outcome would be the same though.

so there's no difference.

you can't be a little racist lol

A question for everyone...

If Rachel Jeantel was able to conduct and express herself better (as a friend and an ultimate representative of Trayvon given her age and being a friend) do you think the tone and outcome of the trial would have been different?

no

the only way it would have been different is if there were 6 people that looked like her on the jury.

people didn't understand the concept that its EASY to convince white people and especially women that black men are up to no good

im willing to bet that they got in there and said "well obviously he was up to something, why else was he walking with a hoodie he just happened to have skittles. i would have wanted my husband to do the same thing zimmerman is a hero because he kept that boy out of our houses we all know how they like to steal and we all know how they like to play like they're good but they're all bad."

i bet.

before the prosecution said two words I knew that he would walk.

before the prosecution said two words I knew that he would walk.
Since Zimmerman was arrested I knew the case was fucked... prosecution didn't have a case - the investigation was compromised... the trial was the state's best way to distract from the corruption and stop DoJ from stepping in...

After watching a few specials on TV now, I have a few questions and I wonder did the jurors think about this:

- When George said when he started to walk back to his truck and Trayvon jumped out the bushes and said "You about to die tonight", when he was that close to you why didn't you address yourself as neighborhood watch? If you felt a threat on your life why not say "hey I'm the neighborhood watch, I just checking things out". You stalked him, you could have told him you was neighborhood watch during this whole time, you didn't.

- For someone who said "he was just beating me up, punching me in the face, slamming my head against the side walk" how in the world do you remember word for word everything Trayvon said while beating you up? Notice how he can remember everything Trayvon was saying to him. If my head is getting slammed into the concrete I would be dazed as fuck and probably couldn't tell you what day it was. Sounds like he is just ganstering up Trayvon, we don't know if he said all this, so George could just be making up shit to make him sound "gangster".

- You said Trayvon went for your gun, how do you know he knew it was a gun? A black gun, in a black holster, at night, it could look like anything. People carry pepper spray on their hip, maybe he thought it was pepper spray and going to use it against you to protect him from you. You ASSUME he knew it was a gun, how can you know what Trayvon was thinking.

- You said you was screaming for help George while he was beating you up, if getting beat up why do the sounds of "HELP ME" sound so clear? If punches are hitting your faces why are you talking so clearly? For someone getting beat up your voice sound strong, not muffled.

- When a gunshot is heard the "HELP ME" suddenly stops. If that was you why did you feel the need to stop calling for help, you are still bloody, broken nose, head bleeding, YOU STILL NEED HELP RIGHT. Even if Trayvon is down on the ground dead, you still can scream for help, you are bleeding right, you need help right, you are still in need of help. That was Trayvon screaming help and the gunshot stopped it suddenly.

Damn, all this shit is what I thought of, did the jury  This jury didn't use common sense. George story was filled of lies and their simple minds was to small to realize that. Holes all in the story, but they looked at evidence, not the holes. Bullshit! Fucking bullshit.

i bet.

The only way those ww would've voted guilty is if those 6 women were the Kelly Divine type, the fact is the most socially retarded people are whites who grow up around nothing but their own.

The shit went exactly like Zimmerman said. He saw someone who fit the description of who's been robbing the neighborhood. He called the cops. He got out the car and followed close to see where e was going. Lost him.

Heads back. Trayvon looped around and attacked him. Put a handy whopping on him and beat his head in the concrete.

George had a gun though. He used it.

He told the same story in the beginning and it never changed.

Trays fam started out knowing this. Once the race baiters came in they figured they could get a little revenge out of it. They tailored their story.

They REALLY fucked up when they decided to put an illiterate bitch on the stand as their star witness tryin to explain that she was on the phone w Trayvon and she heard Zimmerman approaching him. She was so full of shit and too stupid to even lie good. She thought she could leave in the fact that he called GZ a "creepy ass cracka" and that wouldn't have an effect in the jury.

It could've at least been a manslaughter charge but the blatant lies told by the family vs discrepancies in memory or sequence in George's deposition w the Sanford detectives was ridiculous. I think that jury knew a few days ago.

Unfortunately Trayvon wasn't the person Zimmerman was lookin for. But he did handle it completely wrong. He didn't know where he was and who he was dealing with.

I wonder if the kids who DID rob that place feel any remorse for Trayvon since it was their profile that set this whole thing up.

Actually I know they don't.

You ended that bullshit by putting the blame on black kids who did rob that place, for the racial profiling Zimmerman did.

The parts I highlighted in red tells us exactly who you are.

Rachel was the closest person the prosecution had to a witness. They were so desperate that they called a witness that should have been for the defense(the one who put Martin on top of Zimmerman).

Rachel did nothing wrong. See just set up the fear Trayvon felt and that there was a confrontation. Unfortunately, confronting someone doesn't mean you can't claim self defense under Florida law.

Rachel did nothing wrong.

I disagree, but whatever. Hell, my issues with her dumb illiterate ass are moot because it's obvious that that box of crackers had already made up their mind the first day of court.

I'm still waiting for one of the jurors to blame her and say she wasn't convincing.

He told the same story in the beginning and it never changed.

not sure if you've been following the trial because he changed his story MORE THAN A FEW TIMES.

it was several different scenarios that zimmerman said out of his own mouth on tape...

how you come in here with this post and this shit dude?

no idea.

they had MONTHS to teach her what to say and how to answer. MONTHS to go over scenarios and questions the defense might say and how to answer their questions MONTHS on top of MONTHS to do this and they didn't

she wasn't prepared just like the prosecution wasn't

it ain't on her cause she isn't tactful enough to just roll with the punches, everybody can't do that.

but you curb that by preparing your star witness

what team doesn't prepare their star witness??

a team that don't really give a fuck

1 - The judge denied Dooley SYG.
2 - David James' own daughter Danielle testified that Dooley was walking away and her father kept trying to attack Dooley.

I think so man...

I said tried. It wasn't the daughter's testimony that did him in. It was the testimony of other witnesses. They said he brandished the weapon, turned to walk away, and then the guy followed. The man with the weapon then turned and pulled it. The other guy went for the weapon. It was other witnesses that did Dooley in. He didn't follow Zimmerman's methodology; no witnesses.
