My fave year was 93. I liked Battlebowl, Halloween Havoc and Starrcade.

I'm having too many WCW flashbacks lol. My fave tag match of all time is The Steiners vs Sing and Lex Luger at Superbrawl. I can watch that match over and over.

I'm loving these flashblacks too... now y'all got me fiending!:D

Anybody got any download links for any good WCW PPVs from the 90's? I wanna add them to my mobile collection to walk around with and enjoy!:yes::yes:

Since the megaupload & fileserve crackdown a lot of the links have been dropped, and the alternatives are too damn slow so it's not worth it.

93 was a good year. Everything at the main event level was excellent and it was Cactus Jack's first big run as a babyface (his falls count anywhere with Paul Orndorff was awesome). There was Orndorff's TV title run that was very good and it was the year that they decided to move Rick Rude up from the US title level.

I love tag wrestling but I still think my favorite tag match is Midnight Express vs Fantastics at the first Clash in 88 but that Sting/Luger vs the Steiners match should have been the final match of SuperBrawl that year. Flair/Fujinami was good but Fujinami was an unknown to the US audience.

Exactly! I was like who the hell is Fujinami? Midnights vs Fantastic...I can't remember if I seen that or not. I was a fan of both.

Cactus vs Vader at Halloween Havoc is a good one too.

Ron Simmons beating Vader for the belt. I went apeshit. I was not expecting that.

RAW 3 hrs. = fail. WCW did that with Nitro and failed

TNA Impact Live all summer needs to move out of the impact zone for more realistic crowd reactions.

My favorite WCW era was (91-93). When Bischoff took over it wasn't the same but you had a few bright spots but creative control ruined WCW.

on the subject of fails..

Brooke Hogan Signs With TNA
Posted by Jeremy Thomas on 05.17.2012

What will her role be?

- Brooke Hogan has announced that she's signed with TNA. TMZ reports that Brooke will not wrestle for the company but instead will be the head of the Knockouts Division.

Dixie Carter commented, saying "Brooke is such a great talent who's really sharp and will make a great addition to the TNA family." TMZ reports that Brooke's duties will be to help the Knockouts develop their characters, work with them on backstage promos and consult on entrance music among other things.

should let gail kim and madison rayne slap her around a few times

So Brooke Hogan has been signed to basically not do shit. So Brooke Hogan who has never acted and who was a complete and utter failure in the music industry and who has never wrestled is supposed to help the Knockouts better develop their characters, consult on music when they already produce some of the highest rated segments in the company.

Dixie Carter is the definition of a clueless executive and of a mark.

I swear Dixie Carter makes Stephanie McMahon look like a wrestling genius.

What the fuck does she know about any of the shit she is being hired to do?? Scott Steiner was right bout this shit. Them dudes fucking Dixie right to her face and she acting like she don't see it. Why let Hogan bring in his fucking daughter to teach female wrestlers anything? How about get a retired female wrestler who knows this shit to do it, not a fucking failed pop star. Like X-Pac said TNA will be a part of the WWE film library b4 the turn of the decade

Shit at least Stephanie was a part of a storyline, learned a couple wrestling moves and kept her ass in shape. Sounds like Brooke will serve absolutely no purpose.

I said it Vince McMahon will appear on TNA Impact in Florida, but Triple H will lead the invasion.

Ron Simmons beating Vader for the belt. I went apeshit. I was not expecting that.

Simmons winning the WCW World title was a huge deal at the time but his run wasn't that good because of poor challengers. Cactus wasn't a main eventer yet, Rick Rude got hurt, and Jake Roberts quit just as he was set for a feud with Simmons.

Another sign they're moving towards WCW status:smh:

I don't see what they're going to do with a third hour.

~RANDOM VID~...........BRING BACK THE GIGOLO

Random as shit.

My favorite WCW era was (91-93). When Bischoff took over it wasn't the same but you had a few bright spots but creative control ruined WCW.

When WCW moved to 3 hrs, they were on fire but they came to rely on the revenue from that third hour and when Russo came in and got them to go back to two hours, it hurt them financially.

Impact live all summer is interesting but it's another case of TNA doing shit around the edges that doesn't mean anything. If you book a great taped show, people will watch. If you book a shitty live show, people won't watch it. Go back to the consistent, smart storytelling they were doing during the winter and early spring months and like they had for Sacrifice Sunday (notable that those were times when Bischoff and Hogan weren't around as much).

She is a mark and it's too bad.
But her and Stephanie are a draw as far as being horrible executives.

I said it Vince McMahon will appear on TNA Impact in Florida, but Triple H will lead the invasion.

Doubt it. Even when TNA is horrible beyond words, they were profitable and UFC leaving SpikeTV put them in a stronger position with the network. TNA has already outlasted ECW and that was a good company.

World title changes hands via SUNSET FLIP

At least that was off the top of a cage. Rude beat Bossman with the outside to inside sunset flip.
Plus Bubba outweighed Rude by 50 lbs! That shit just didn't make any sense but it made Rude look good and that was good enough for me.

Read the spoilers for 2night's SD and was underwhelmed.

They just seemed to have lost their way since Mania on SD. They've fallen in love with D Bryan (a good thing) but seem to have forgotten about Sheamus, who is the
World champ.

It's like I wanna like Sheamus but he does'nt do anything. I hate Daniel Bryan too! "YES!" is all he could come up with?

He didn't do that I thought those Miami cats started that at WM?

Bryan is good because he can actually wrestle and has become pretty good on the mic

Sheamus is wack to me, as a heel he was golden. as a face he's boring just like orton

During Bryan's run as champ, he came out every match doing his YES YES YES chant but he does have good mic skills and hes a good wrestler....face Sheamus sucks they should put the title on Del Rio but being that Sheamus is one of Triple HHH boys he'll probably have a long title reign
