It must annoy the hell out of Vince McMahon that Zach Ryder got himself this over with minimal help from the company. More over than anybody that the company has tried to shove down the fans throats for the last couple of years.
Vince's ego is by far one of the biggest problems with the company. He's out of touch. His decline as a wrestling mind is about the same as Ric Flair's decline as a wrestler.
Except I think Vince's "genius" has always been overrated to begin with. He took his father's formula and expanded it nationwide and instead of working with other territories like Georgia did when they had a national cable outlet, he used his to bury the competition.
The worst part about his treatment of Zack is that Ryder got over a character he (WWE) created so it's not like he was the "Woo Woo Woo" guy in ROH or TNA. He is wholly a WWE creation but because he got himself over, they're resistant.
Great match which shows that Ziggler needs to elevated and elevated quickly.
Punk,Ziggler and Daniel Bryan are the 3 best wrestlers in the WWE!!!
They're a year late with Ziggler but if they're going to do it, they need to get on it and then put McIntyre in his spot with the US title.
If they want to elevate Ziggler, he has to stop getting beat by every top guy. He's been pinned by Edge, Cena, Orton, and Punk this year on tv. Stop that shit. Just being competitive isn't enough, he has to win.
That dude is corny as fuck. I'm confused to why he's so over with fans. I don't know if its because they're rooting for the underdog the company wasn't behind or what but that cat is garbage.
He's supposed to be corny, that's the gimmick. He's a throwback to the over the top gimmick characters WWE did in the 80s.
Yea I know how he got over i'm just shocked he's so over with fans. Especially since he comes off as Cena-lite and everyone hates Cena right now.
Cena lite?
And I still don't understand why they would bring the Rock back just to bury their top guy. Because win or lose at WM, the Rock is so over with the fans, that a win wouldn't help Cena at all.
I've been saying that all along. It should be a back and forth, not just Rock buries Cena and Cena doesn't get his heat back. Then if Cena wins at Mania, it sucks because its so obvious and if Rock wins, you just buried your top guy for a year to a guy who doesn't wrestle.
And if you're Cena, Orton or Punk, why would you want the Rock to be back full-time anyway? They should be wanting better writers and bookers.
We know he's not so nobody is even considering that and it's pissing some of them off. This is getting to be very much like when Hogan would come in, go over some top guy and then leave but at least Hogan put over Kurt Angle and Undertaker.
They can want better writers but they don't hire them, Vince does.
All the Rock can do for them is generate temporary interest to the shows from fans who lost their interest in WWE a long time ago. That's one less spot in the main event. It just makes them look weak like they can't carry the WWE by themselves. They shouldn't have even let Cena go at the Rock from that angle because I'm sure it just eats Cena up inside that he works hard every night trying to be this super-face and the crowd, no matter where they're at, doesn't fuck with him, and The Rock can come back every 3 months and blow the roof off. That means the Rock has already paid his dues, he's put enough work in to just come back whenever the fuck he wants to. And this angle just proves that Cena will never get to that level going this route. It will never get to that level where Cena could go away for months, years, and come back and the arena will explode like Rock or Stone Cold.
I disagree. When they book Cena correctly, the audience adjusts. Most of the audience HATES the SuperCena shit. But the few times he's put in an underdog position, the crowds start to develop babyface sympathy for him (the Nexxus angle for example).
And he does get Rock/Austin pops but only when he's been away such as his surprise entrance in the Royal Rumble a few years ago, coming back from injury. People have really hated Hulk Hogan but when he makes his comebacks, crowds go bananas and he was everything people hate about Cena but much, much worse, in the ring and backstage.
The end of Awesome Truth already? Back to the midcard, Mr Killings.
