A summary video of that time Pentagon Dark faced the Elite 3 of Stardom at the time in KAIRI, Mayu Iwatani, and Io Shirai (Sky) on "Lucha Underground". To this day this is the most entertaining Intergender match I've ever seen. All three women were God tier in this match in regard to storytelling, selling and offense. Triple H has booked "Damage Control" like shit though. You got a world-class talent in Io Shirai (Sky) and she's eating pins left and right to inferior workers. She was going to go back to "Stardom" because she was wasting away in NXT but you were scared AEW was gonna snatch her (Omega showed interest) so you finally moved her up to the main roster. Now she's playing second fiddle to Bayley when she should be teaming with Asuka to dominate the whole division.
This is the very reason why New Japan put the IWGP Women's Championship belt on her. She can bring both New Japan and Stardom mainstream exposure in the west.

Definitely a favorite of mine. One reason is obvious while the other is more of a appreciation of her wrestling journey. I remember when she couldn't wrestle her way out of a wet paper bag and all she was about was playing up her big tits then she got serious and started improving in the ring.
Now she can hang with the top tier women in the company.

YES!!! I knew almost nothing bout kairi, iyo and mayu then. The match was epic. When I started watching nxt more regularly I was like ‘oh I see why those ladies got picked up”. This was when LU was shutting everyone out. I mean I know it wasn’t wwe big but no other show got a Netflix spot. Great organization. I miss it
