I know this makes sense business wise to grow the AEW brand, but to me it comes off as a slightly desperate move to partner with all those promotions instead of building your own brand and letting it stand on its own.

AEW always wanted to be an alternative to WWE but as I've stated many times before, they are rehashing old WWE stories and tropes.

On top of that, now they are rehashing WCW history too. Instead of creating their own identity, they seem content with trying to beat WWE instead of just being a better promotion.

I like some of what AEW does, but they need to focus on what they do well and improve areas they lack in (women's division, storytelling).

I think the partnering makes sense actually to a point you made earlier when they first started. A lot of their wrestlers aren't heavyweights and their women's division is trash. This allows bigger male talent and better more seasoned women talent to be showcased on a larger platform.

AEW has the better TV deal, while NWA and Impact have a better roster. Having all of those wrestlers under one show you run into what WWE did back when they bought WCW, they became top heavy. Money was impossible to spread around while keeping talent utilized for 3-4 hours a week. This allows for more storylines and better match-ups. Jordyn Grace vs Nyla Rose. Kiera Hogan vs Big Swole. Shida vs Madison Rayne vs Taya Valkyrie across 2-3 different shows.

This boosts so much talent that otherwise wouldn't get used. The creation of a women's tag division that would actually have a division across the different shows. I think you are looking at this too small picture and maybe I am looking at this in a manner that they WON'T fcuk up. This gives them the footing to become that alternative

Oh I think it's a good idea for them to do this partnership, so long as all parties involved within the partnership grow.

I'd hate to see Impact negatively impacted by this. Mentioned earlier about Rich Swan and Moose both having to take an back seat to Omega. That's kind of foul in my book. I get why, due to Omega's popularity in Japan and all, I just hoped that Impact and NWA to a degree continued doing their own thing instead of trying to play catch up with WWE.

Of the three promotions, AEW, Impact and NWA, I liked what Billy Corgen and crew at NWA were doing prior to COVID-19.

All three rosters combined certainly makes up ground, but someone has to play second or third fiddle.

Although AEW has the best TV deal, like you said their roster isn't the greatest. I wish NWA and Impact had their deal Instead.

Smh. Can't ever find Impact, only "watch" them on YouTube clips.

NWA looked to be partnering with UWN (United Wrestling Network) to air their new show Shockwave which was actually pretty good. I wonder how this would effect that.

Truth be told, I want all these promotions to shine in this order, NWA, Impact and AEW.

Nick Aldis is a decent wrestler and looks like an NWA world Champion.

Rich Swan built himself up and finally was given the opportunity to carry Impact, deservedly so. Moose is a powerhouse and also has that look.

Omega is a star but I don't know about making him the focus of this storyline, especially when you consider the history the NWA and to a degree the Impact titles carry.

I don't think anyONE has to play second fiddle... Except to Kenny Omegas' One Winged Angel. That is the most protected finisher in all of professional wrestling.

I don't see Swann or Moose taking a back seat and if they do that can be by design and put into a program.

Not sure how all three World Champions will be seen as equals. The fact that Omega (AEWs Champion) is appearing on another promotions show already puts that promotions champion a step below.

THAT'S the program! Omega goes to different promotions putting down the Impact and 10lbs of gold belts to setup a 4 man match on a joint promotion PPV that ends with all three locker rooms filling the ring with a brawl as to not put one belt over the others. You can drag this on as AEW and Impact are only involved at a Impact PPV, Aldis doesn't want no part of it... UNTIL the three way match where Aldis interferes which gets dragged on longer with a tag match between the 4 until you setup the 4 man match.

And I am just a Mark sitting on my ass coming up with this, so I can only imagine.... how they will royally screw the pooch on this!

I am still holding out faith on this.
