The Miz could probably work as a face not a leading face though.

He could and be a leading face. And he could probably do it without stooping to the corny level of Cena.He could be a smartass face who could basically shoot on his competitors.

I thought Rock was gone be on the show weekly now but I guess every other week :dunno:

I think that they're taking the approach that less is more and if he was around every week he'd eventually be taken for granted.Means that Cena and Miz definitely need to step up.I didn't see the Miz's promo but Cena failed. He had some decent lines but the fact that he had to revert back to his old character and not do it in his current state is bad.

I would've liked the promo better if it hadn't been so homo, i mean he calls the rock out fo lipstick and tooth fairy but spends the rest talking about rock kissing his ass and massaging his balls:smh::puke: Also miz was an EPIC FAIL!!!! he had a chance to shine and he completely blew it. I don't think miz is ready to face the rock at all on the mic.

Damn, I remember when tag team titles meant something...that shit was like 15 years ago though.

The tag titles officially became pointless back in 2005

The latest RAW stresses just why I don't invest much energy into WWE anymore. And personally, I'm sort of glad they didn't go the Sting vs Undertaker route since all the "good" in the match would've happened BEFORE either man entered the ring.

I know some of you think, "Yeah, but they're vets so they know enough in the ring to pull a good *** match. No one is expecting them to bust out with shooting star presses or anything." But I don't think it would've been even that (MAYBE a ** , and that's if Patterson was HEAVILY involved in the mechanics of the match). The match would've been all build up and basically had been "meh" once they locked up in the ring. The type of match where you show someone all the promos and the build up, but when it come to the match you pull the old, "So...instead of watching this match, let me show you Foley vs Taker again from Hell in the Cell."

One reason Undertaker / Michaels had great matches these last 2 years is because HBK is a wizard in the ring and controlled the pace (they have good chemistry too, but you have to remember they've wrestled each other numerously in different combinations for over 10 years).

With HHH/Taker it could go either way. Their last WM encounter was a solid *** match with HHH carrying Taker to a damn good match. With that said, that was pre-quad tear (and pre-EXTRA roids) HHH. Plus, the match they had 2 years later was HORRIBLY BAD. Another HHH/Undetaker match has no "wow" or sense of newness, but once they get in the ring there is a chance it could be good based on their track records WITH EACH OTHER.

With all that said, they HAVE to have HHH go over or else its a pointless match no matter how good it turns out.

Note: I'm not saying I want HHH to end the streak. I don't personally, but if you're going to book yourself into a corner like this, then that's the only direction to go.

So what is the rocks contact with the wwe about? Is it a compete or just appearance?

Just appearances.

Revenge for Shawn Michaels? I don't see the connection between these two.

You don't? I think it's a stretch and is clearly hotshotting a "big" match for Mania. HHH is Michaels' best friend and Taker retired him, now HHH wants revenge. Bullshit? Yeah. But I see it.

Of epic proportions. Maybe they can save face by pushing Kane right now and have him meet Sting. Then have Taker beat HHH and Sting beat Kane and then have Taker vs. Sting at Summerslam.

Still holding out, huh?

probably one of the most underwhelming surprises that wasn't really a surprise. So, does this mean Sting is going back to TNA?
Nope.
He might but this isn't connected.

Good to see Ted Dibiase induct Jim Duggan. I remember them along with Matt Bourne in early 80's Mid-South as the heel group The Rat Pack. Just to hear Dibiase's speech will be a great listen for any true wrestling fan of the territories and kayfabe era.

Oh God, yes. I'm pleasantly surprised by this.

I'mma take another shot at WWE's predictability:

Lawler hits Cole for talking shit, GM chimes in and orders some stupid match between King and Cole or King and Alex Riley for WM

This has been talked about since Lawler first got involved with Miz. Lawler/Cole is :puke:

:smh: WWE missed a golden opportunity by not pursuing Sting. Think about; The Icon vs. The Phenom. If any match would be perfect Swan-song for either one of them THAT would have been the match.....

They may have pursued him and just not come to an agreement. Sting has zero interest in going on the road with the WWE schedule.
That match would have been perfect 10 years ago.

Now that was wack.A quick ass squash match for the tag titles and the champs made no effort whatsoever to break up the count. And the WWE did what they always do and put the belt on 2 random ass singles wrestlers.

Just garbage. When I turned my tv to it and saw that I was hoping they didn't put the belts on them. There's just no reason to do it.

He could and be a leading face. And he could probably do it without stooping to the corny level of Cena.He could be a smartass face who could basically shoot on his competitors.

Miz could be a great face but he needs a few more years of being a top heel before they even entertain turning him. He is very similar to Edge when he was first pushed to the top.

soooooooooo.................I guess HHH completely forgot Sheamus put him out 4 damn near a year, and Barrett and his gang caused UT to be buried alive and he don't care either...............................smh

 As I said, this was clearly hotshotting at it's worst. Taker and HHH can't really go with young guys like Barrett and Sheamus and they've half assed Del Rio's push so they wedge in HHH/Taker.

Wade and Sheamus will probably jump HHH and Taker is they have a "contract signing" lol and then turn it into a tag match lol.

But the last time Taker and HHH wrestled was when HHH went to smackdown few years back and that was a pretty good TV match

The Reason For Sheamus Being Pushed Down

One of the reasons for WWE curtailing the push of Sheamus in recent weeks is because Kevin Dunn, the organization’s Executive Vice President of Television Production, is not a fan of his.

Several months ago on an episode of Monday Night RAW, Sheamus was booked to cower away in fear from The Nexus. This reportedly led Dunn to brainstorm the “King Sheamus” persona, including outfit, as means to mock him.

It’s been noted over the years that behind Vince McMahon, Dunn has the biggest say in the company’s creative direction.

Once again it's the "Fuck the fans, I don't like it." approach by WWE...This is why I really don't watch like I used to...Fuck Vince and Kevin Dunn...

Paul Heyman once did an interview where he said the wwe is basically vince's party for one. I will never forget the time they were making fun of jr's serious condition where he needed to get a colonoscopy, after the skit was done airing the arena was dead silent and the look on vince's face was of complete embarrassment.

NoDQ.com > WWE > Backstage News on HHH & Undertaker's Storyline
Posted by Steve Carrier on 02/23/2011 at 09:00 PM

Triple H and The Undertaker are the ones putting together their current program for WrestleMania 27, with minimal input from WWE creative.

Taker was originally scheduled to face Wade Barrett and Triple H was set to face Sheamus at WrestleMania but the two got together and realized that WrestleMania 27 had no special match. As WWE's two most power political forces, they felt they could take control of their own angle without much in the way of outside influence.

Shawn Michaels is still expected to be introduced into the storyline and have a role at WrestleMania, possibly as a referee or an enforcer. The idea behind the storyline is that Triple H is going at Taker for revenge after Taker ended his best friend's career.

Well at least now we know what the storyline will be but this match doesnt make me want to run out and order Wrestlemania. At least not yet.

I'd love for Michaels to hit HHH with sweet chin music, UT win, and he tells HHH, If I don't beat him, no one does!!!

half assed Del Rios push?? he only whips the IC champs ass EVERY WEEK!!!!!!! I think they push him too much!!!

Dude came in hot and then lost clean several times and now he's hot again. That's half assed for a guy you want in a world title match at Mania.

Check this out
Confirming what Mike Johnson first reported here on PWInsider.com, former WWE writer John Piermarini wrote the following on his blog discussing the Undertaker/Triple H staredown on RAW:

"Reason #121 why you don't believe everything you read in dirt sheets. They were reporting Undertaker vs. Wade Barrett, Undertaker and Kane vs. The Corre and other incarnations of WM matches for Taker but this match was planned since last August. Now that it's out there I can reveal that."

There is nothing to brag about when you've spent exactly zero days building what should have been a major match at the biggest show of the year.

On a whole other note of bullshit............

Presser: ‘Angelina’ Is Coming To TNA iMPACT!

By Ryan Clark on February 24, 2011

TNA made the following announcement today…

ANGELINA FROM THE “JERSEY SHORE” TO GET IN THE WRESTLING RING AND ISSUE A SPECIAL CHALLENGE

Angelina To Guest Star In Two Episodes Of Spike TV’s “TNA iMPACT!” In March

Angelina Pivarnivck, a former cast member of MTV’s megahit series “The Jersey Shore,” is taking her talents into the wrestling ring. Angelina will appear on two upcoming “TNA IMPACT” episodes on SPIKE TV, Thursday, March 3 at 9:00pm ET/PT and Thursday, March 10 at 9:00pm ET/PT.

In the episode, Angelina will meet and partner with the wrestling duo “The Shore,” comprised of Cookie and Robbie E, and make her professional wrestling debut in the TNA ring. Angelina and “The Shore” share a mutual hatred of “Jersey Shore” star, J-Woww, whom she will challenge publicly to meet her in the ring for a full-on brawl.

Last October, J-Woww made an appearance on TNA where she pounded the trash-talking Cookie (who bares a striking resemblance to Snooki).

UPDATE x2: Dixie Carter posted the following on Twitter… Angelina from MTV’s Jersey Shore will make her wrestling debut on the 3/3 TNA iMPACT on Spike! Visit TMZ.com and TNAwrestling.com for info!

UPDATE: Angelina Pivarnick has posted on Twitter that she would be getting up to do some “TNA training.” Many expect that she will debut on the TNA tapings tonight in a pre-taped segment.

TNA trying to get this Jersey Shore audience is just pathetic.

Those idiots don't even realize that its not the people we like when we watch the Jersey Shore. Its the drama. The show is bigger than any actor on that show so when they go and bring these reality stars on to TNA its just stale. I mean fuck TNA. I been said that shit. I've never seen shit in them. NEVER. I know some liked them earlier but i've never liked that shit. Its always reminded me of WCW at the end of its run.

Yes it is along with them and their surprises. On the Between the Ropes radio show 1 of the hosts said something that TNA should heed when discussing the Rock's comeback. He said that a good surprise is cool but it will never equal the ratings bump that alerting the public beforehand will.Instead of having people show up out of the blue to the same group of people who normally watch hype them and let the rating improve. Raw's rating went up this week because The Rock was all over the commercials. Also instead of taking time to hype up 1rst time matches or matches that have been waited for TNA just does them out of the blue with no buildup.

Not to mention Jersey Shore new episodes come on during the 2nd hour of Impact. Who's going to switch from a new episode of Jersey Shore to watch one person from the show (this chick ain't even on the show anymore) pretend fight somebody on Impact? That shit is retarded.
