Man, I liked the brutal/hardcore ECW shit back when I was in my 20s. Watching that now? Nah, I'm good. Would be hilarious if Swerve has Hepatitis C....that blood drink spot ain't it.

AEW makes mainstream (TMZ) news for all the wrong reasons.

I hate Ricochet....

Mumbling his name while doing this

Man this × 100
Swerve is at this point the only person I'm checking for in AEW and that last match was a NO GO!

That extra hard-core shit was cool back in the 90s when it was legit shocking. Now it just comes across like two people desperate to grab attention by going WAY over the top. No need for that kind of match in 2023.

I'm looking at you too Dean Amb .... I mean John Moxley. People shouldn't be in the ring bleeding all over each other in a post-Covid wrestling company.

Illogical. Dumbest shit I've seen, and the fact folks are loving it make no damn sense.

I saw a clip of Hangman using a staple gun....you know how heavy those things are? Would have made better sense to bash Swerve in the head with it instead of stapling him...

Just dumb carny shit.

It was okay mainly because of Athena and Billy Starkz carrying the match. Ronda is still sloppy as fuck in the ring. Nothing she does has fluidity to it other than her arm bar. With that said ROH might be the best place for her because she can focus less on sports entertainment bullshit and more on getting better in the ring.

NJPW has NEVER had the money to keep anybody. The amount of top tier talent that is come and gone through New Japan is staggering. I do appreciate that AEW exists as it's another outlet wrestlers can go and still make money.

I agree...this character has a lot of potential....too bad WWE is full of so much top level talent....others may get lost in the shuffle, but Drew should be the one to take the belt off Rollins and then have Gunther take it off Drew after a 4-5 month run....

I never could get with Drew....to me he's a mid carder which there's nothing wrong with that or maybe a guy to put over a champ but I don't know.....Maybe as a heel i'll feel different.

I never been a fan of it. I mean ECW I was but even then it wasn't that death match shit eating light bulbs and drinking blood and shit. Why Swerve gotta get his ass whooped like that to win?

Yeah, as a face I’m not crazy about him either. He’s got the look and size of a main event guy, so I don’t know about keeping him in the midcard forever. Shame he got his run as champ during the pandemic, would like to see how audiences react to him as champ. Can’t see him going over on Seth with Roman being champ. I’d be surprised to see WWE with two heel champs for the longterm though…maybe he goes over on Seth and Damian immediately cashes in,

I'll honestly say that as a kid watch that stuff in ECW, the thought of transmitted diseases never crossed my mind.
As an adult, especially in the current state of things, that's all I can think about it.
Taking those spots doesn't make them look manly, like they can take superhuman pain.
It's mostly just worrying me that them and everyone that has to touch the ring after them is in unsafe work environment.

They shouldn't so mush clean the ring, as they should kill it with fire and build a new one. .

I think that's what it is....different times and different age. Not sure if I liked ECW because I was young or because I hadn't seen nothing like it. But even then I can still watch some ECW stuff to this day. This "Deathmatch" shit....naw. What's the cac thats' known for this shit? Breaking lamps and shit over his head? Don't like that shit either.

They honestly can go in a different direction with Seth i'm over his whole....shit they got going. Like him but yeah his gimmick is tired. He needs a fresh one too.

It's a shame Suzu won't have her grand moment against Tam but injuries happen which is why going forward they shouldn't have the red belt champ competing in the Five Star tournament. To much wear on the body. Rossy should still put the red belt on Suzu for six months then have Saya Kamitani take it from her.
