An announcer being the top heel in the business, is not a good look for the business.

I don't like watching that shit now since cole became a heel. It was something different at first, but it got old really quick. Also the anonymous general manager has gotten old too, just make Triple H the anonymous general manager and call it a day.

The story I've heard is that something happened leading Nikita to believe that McMahon had plans to job him out which is why he never went to the WWF.

The problem is that they don't want to push the top heels who are wrestlers.They don't mind them getting heat but they won't put them over against a top face without shenanigans.Say what you will but what made HHH and Flair such great heels is that in spite all of the run-ins,attacks,and things when push came to shove they would ultimately win clean without outside interference frequently enough.

When Bischoff has been a heel he has also been recognized as a figure with power in the organization as well.So he wasn't simply a heel announcer with preferences but with a vested interest in the outcomes as well whereas Cole is just a Miz dickrider who has stooped to the level of interfering in his matches.Also because Bischoff had power people where a little more hesitant to get physical with him while Cole is just an announcer.Why some people haven't whooped Cole's ass is beyond me.Melina could have when he was clowning her a couple weeks back for not saying shit and the Hart Dynasty definitely should have when he was calling them boring as they were scouting at the announce table.

Exactly. It ain't hard for an authority figure to get heat. All Bischoff had to do to get heat is put the top face in a handicap match or strip him of the title. Teddy Long could get the same heat Eric Bischoff got.

Is anyone getting the feeling that Vince only picked up Booker and Nash to fuck with TNA's whole "they" angle. Wasn't the new "they" suppose to the Main Event Mafia. With Booker and Nash signed so close to TNA's big night on 2/3/11 that must have really fucked up their whole angle.
On a side note: Is anyone else tired of TNA telling you exactly when to watch. They did this the first time with "they" coming on 10/10/10. So you knew ahead of time that there was no point to watch the show until then. I feel the same way now. I haven't watched Impact since they started talking about 2/3/11 being the big night. What's the point? Somebody posted the begin of the Kane angle on the last page. Why can't TNA do something like that, when they have you watching week to week, not knowing what or when something might happen. They insist on telling you the exact date the shit is going down.

Yeah WWE will offer contracts just to keep guys away from TNA. I think they did the same thing when Bret was in talks to be the TNA Commisioner.
With out Nash and Booker they don't have a MEM. Maybe TNA will bring old ECW talent back and put them in the Mafia.
(they might actually do that)I knew Nash wasn't going to resign with TNA when the rumor started about a WCW themed Mania this year. Plus with HBK going into the HOF Nash wanted to be free to attend that also.

Most people say that the WWE barely acknoledges TNA which I believe is true.Both Booker T and Nash can have value so it's not as if they are blind signings.
Personally I've thought for months that Nash should be the anonymous Raw GM since he can be both an imposing authority figure who can talk and at the same time be lively and a smartass to those who want to be aggressive or smart towards him.

When Dave posted that Nash would be there I was thinking that he would be great as th GM for Raw. Theres no one else that they can really bring in that would make sense with all the wrestler catch phrases the the GM has used. I'm sure HHH would be cool with it. They may even be able to cash in with some Kliq t-shirts.
Anyone else watching the Rumble right now? Usually do to the time difference (it's Monday morning over here in Japan) it's impossible for me to catch WWE PPVs live since I live in Japan. But Im off today.
