Watching TNA now. Why did they hoe Rob Terry like that? He and Matt could probably work a decent program together. The Womens division is disgusting right now. They need to shut it down, and start from scratch. Who is the new "they'?

I love wrestling so much, if I had money like that, I would buy into TNA. It does have potential, but they need to stop the bleeding NOW!!!!! Build up X-Division, and tag division pronto!!!

 that"how can she slap" moment w/ kurt angle and his ex

Even though he was said to be too choreographed in the ring, he's still one of the all time legends and it sucks that he wasn't included in legends of wrestlemania. Trust me i know the controls aren't the best but i take it for what it's worth, because i've had some classic bouts on that game with jake the snake and rick rude:yes::yes:

As long as the WWE Creative is booking to impress a 60 yr old Vince McMahon instead of fans, there won't be much difference.
TNA's problem is their head writer sees the world too similar to Vince. He'd rather book a sitcome or something and not a pro wrestling show.

Nothing but the truth here. They have completely lost sight of what they need to do, and more importantly have taken a "fuck the fans they don't know what the want" approach to booking and ideas.
I've been watching the 1997 Monday Nitro's and they blow away anything on TV now. One thing is they no longer tell a story, hell maybe they don't know how to anymore.

Here is an example of how storylines used to be. This is like 12-13 parts but it shows the entire build up to Kane's WWF debut. I think the whole story took about 2 months but they kept your attention with it. 97 was a damn good year for wrestling I'll drop the playlist, not sure if that can be embedded. Need to pull these shits and make 1 file.

The story of kane was great tv but in 03 they decided to forget about him being horribly burned, and expected everyone else to forget as well. WWE will always regret the way they screwed up nexus and not turning cena heel 3 years ago imo.

lol I know right...I think Dave is a true insider...like he's really Tully Blanchard or something

:lol::lol:
Just a hardcore fan with too much time on my hands.
"Nightmare gave you WHAT?...from ME?!"

That works because it's "real". Baby Doll took that shot like a man. And when Dusty came out, he wasn't in his gear already and he didn't bring his own microphone. I remember when they came back from commercial, they were still talking about it. Something just as crazy could happen TNA but they would cut away to show someone walking down the hall and just be through talking about it. Part of the problem is they tape the show out of order. Hell if I know why.

i remember when sgt.slaughter did the tug a war with bigfoot in the superdome

i remember watchin saturday night main event

i remember when everybody did the rick flair chop and whoooooo

i remember when wrestlers entrances had meaning

i remember diamond dallas page vs stone cold conversations on who would hit the finishing move first

i remember buff bagwell

i remember sid vicious, van vader, the samoans, doink the clown, sabu on ecw late nights

maybe i'm tellin my age now

A little bit with Sgt. Slaughter having a tug of war with Bigfoot.
The furthest back memory I have of Slaughter is him being US champion and feuding with Wahoo McDaniels and Blackjack Mulligan Jr. (Barry Windham).
But if you ask damn near anybody over a certain age from NC/SC, they can tell you (and I'm one) how they remember Ric Flair, before he was World champ, having his suit ripped off by Rick Steamboat and later Blackjack Mulligan coming out in one of his robes and ripping it to shreds.

I'm telling ya, if they bring in paul heyman & just start it all over, it will completely revamp the show!

Adding Mickie and Winter has actually helped the Knockouts division. It was a real mess this spring and summer when it was all about Madison and Angelina wrestling half ass matches.

Rob Terry? He's can't work a decent program with anyone right now. He's at least a year away (with a heavy schedule working Tommy Dreamer a lot) from being a decent power wrestler.

I see Kong making her debut at the Rumble or soon before/after. I know we all want to see her against Beth Phoenix at Mania but they should build it towards SummerSlam instead. TNA, for all the shit we give them that they earn, built Kong vs. Tara perfectly, over months and months. WWE should do the same.

Every time I see that Tully/Babydoll vid I always think what the hell was David Crockett gonna do lol. Cause if JJ wasn't there Tully was gonna do to him what Nikita did months earlier

:eek::eek:
This was amazing! Nikita played it perfectly, getting visibly madder as the interview went on and walking smooth off, like shit didn't just happen.

Anyone ever meet a pro wrestler in person. When I was about 8 years old me and my sister ran into Dusty Rhodes at a gas station. My family and I attended a WWE house show back in 91 or 92 and after the show me and my sister went to the gas station near the arena. Dusty Rhodes was buying beer and my sister was telling him that we just came from the show. Dusty slick ass was trying to flirt with my sister whose was about 16 at the time calling her pretty lady.

I actually met Bob "Hardcore" Holly at GNC a couple years ago and he was cool as fuck .He talked to me for about 5 minutes and was just telling me bout the different types of pills he was buying and stuff.

1990 met Sting in the airport after the Great American Bash, real cool cat, actually sat next to him for 15 minutes waiting for a flight @ BWI airport.

Met Sid Vicious in 97, used to live near the old Capitol Center they had a house show it was him and 3 other cats (can't remember who) my boys girl worked at applebees and they went there to eat, she called us as soon as they came in. Big Bastard, but he was cool too.

Met a few...the coolest one ironically was Chris Benoit back when he was in WCW.

Met Scott Hall and Sean Waltman in a airport when I was about 8 or 9. Seems like a couple of down to Earth dudes. Give me and my cousin signed autographs and everything.

On another note, any picks for the rumble thus far. I know it a shot in the dark, but I'm pulling for Morrison. WWE desperately needs to let a upper mid card guy win the rumble like they used to do in the early and mid 90s. No one needs to see HHH come out at number 30 .... excuse me, 40 :smh: or see another Cena victory. Those guys are going to be apart of Mania regardless, so why not let a mid card guy get some shine.

I believe Cena won't win it just because he's still doing the Nexus storyline and Triple HHH will be doing his king vs king feud w/Sheamus. Someone like Morrison, Del Rio,Kofi or even Wade Barrett could win. But like you said they need to push some mid card guys desperately. Jim Ross said this in one of his blogs about The King,Jerry Lawler:

Jerry Lawler In The Royal Rumble: "An emailer hoped that Jerry Lawler would win the Royal Rumble match and I'm not aware that King is going to even be in the Rumble. One thing that I can say is that Jerry is as popular as virtually any wrestler in WWE right now due to recent events which speaks to two points. One, Jerry is extremely talented and, two, it speaks to the issue of the lack of main event depth currently in the wrestling biz in general."

so yeah they need to start pushing other wrestlers besides Cena, Orton, Edge, Taker

I met a number of wrestlers growing up. My father would usually take me with him whenever the wrestlers were in town because he would deliver the beer for them. Met guys such as Yokozuna and Macho Man. I even put aside my hatred at the time for Shawn Michaels the one time I met him back in the mid-90's. Then as I got older, ECW used to occasionally come to my town before they got big and you could only catch them at 2 in the morning. New Jack was the coolest guy I probably met. One time before an ECW event I ran into Bob Backlund. Funny since at the time he was supposed to be running for Congress.

The only angle I can see with the King being used in the Rumble is if they have he be the one to eliminate Alex Riley. Outside of the that there is no fucking way he's going to win so why even put him in it.

Even more important than that is the fact that if the King is in the Rumble, then Cole will have to call it with those two fucking idiots from Smackdown and I really hate those two, especially Matt Striker. Those two just suck the energy out of a match with their commentating.

I got to meet the von erichs when i was 6, they were doing a show in palestine and my aunt was working at the diner they were eating at after the show. These 2 dumbasses tried to say they were the von erichs managers, but they were found out and were quickly shown the door:lol:

I grow up on Mid-South wrestling....had a chance to hang out a couple of times with Jeff Jarrett at a teen club back in the days...prior to him actually getting anytime in his Daddy's promotion....He was helping put the ring up and shit...Actually seen him at a show back in the summer...of course he didn't remember me but when I brought up the old club we laughed about how old we were and he gave my son a couple of pics and an autograph....Pretty cool dude...made my son a fan for sure..

I think we all agree that they NEED to push newer, younger guys but I don't see them doing it with the Rumble. Since the winner got the Mania title match, an established main eventer has won every year. Money In the Bank is for pushing new guys, not the Rumble.
If Orton doesn't win it, Miz will still drop it at Elimination Chamber. I'd be shocked if they let him headline WrestleMania.

The Miz might get the shot but I think who wins the Royal Rumble will say something. If Punk wins the Rumble Miz is either dropping to Orton then but more than likely Cena will win in the Chamber. If Cena wins then there's a good chance Miz retains unless Punk wins in the Chamber.
