Kaitlyn won NXT over Naomi?:hmm: It's bullshit but not unexpected since Kaitlyn's the one who's been making appearances on other shows in storylines and all Naomi has been doing is wrestling well and cutting serious promos. Hopefully they have something planned for Naomi other than going back to FCW since they clearly undermined her chance at winning by making Kaitlyn a more well known character.

I co-sign everything you've written. She does, however, seem to be every white man's wetdream (check the IWC boards to see what I mean), so I "get" why she won. But really, if you're being objective on all facets, Naomi has been THE most impressive out of all the women (and yes...including AJ who has been really good, but her best outing wasn't as impressive as Naomi's).

In the end, both Naomi and AJ will end up on the main roster anyway. But seeing as how Kaitlyn managed to get her character over (without any wrestling skills), and Naomi's character was losing steam toward the end of the season, Naomi needed the victory more than Kaitlyn did.

Silly WWE booking, but what else is new.

WWE.com Lex Luger SVR11 interview
255pchf.jpg

It's been more than 15 years since Lex Luger set foot in a WWE ring, but all that will change this holiday season when the legendary Superstar makes his SmackDown vs. Raw debut as a playable character through the latest downloadable content package. (View DLC Photo Gallery)
WWE.com called up the co-winner of the 1994 Royal Rumble to talk about his in-game character, his dream opponent and the legacy of Lex Luger.

WWE.com: You'll be a playable legend in this holiday season's downloadable content package. Were you involved in the creation of your character?

Lex Luger: I totally trusted THQ on that, but I just got a sneak peek preview and the realism is just incredible.

WWE.com: It must be interesting to see how your character has evolved since your appearance in 1995's WrestleMania: The Arcade Game.

Luger: Oh yeah, it’s like night and day. I mean not just the technology, but the maneuvers and the different matches and all the alliances you can get involved in. The variety of choices they have now just blows me away.

WWE.com: You’ve had many personas over your career, but it’s the “All-American” Lex Luger that’s featured in the game. What are your memories of that time?

Luger: As far as the highlights of my career, slamming Yokozuna was just phenomenal. Everyone who goes on YouTube or Googles me, they always say, ‘I saw that thing where you slammed that gigantic guy!’ It really was an incredible experience.

WWE.com: You teamed with The British Bulldog during that era. Were you excited to learn that he's also a part of this package?

Luger: The Allied Powers are back! Isn’t that cool? That’s part of the fun of this game. You’re able to put teams together and get us involved with today’s current Superstars. You can have really classic matchups.

WWE.com: You hung up your boots in 2001. Was there a dream match you never had in your career that you would love to create in this game?

Luger: I guess it would be against some of today’s Superstars. I'd like to see how I’d match up against John Cena or Triple H or Randy Orton.

WWE.com: So how would The Total Package do in a brawl with powerhouses like Kane or Sheamus?

Luger: I like to think I’d hold up pretty well. The athletes are more athletic and the maneuvers are so spectacular, but I’d still have a basic ground attack. I’d have to stick with that, but sometimes simplicity is best.

WWE.com: Plus, once you get them in your patented Torture Rack, it's all over.

Luger: People tell me that back in the day they loved to pick me in games, because once I got them in the Rack the match was over. You don’t kick out of the Torture Rack, buddy.

WWE.com: We spoke with you about your health issues late last year in a "Where Are They Now?" feature. How have you been feeling since then?

Luger: Thank you for asking. I'm getting more strength and endurance back. I'm able to do more things from my spinal cord injury, which I'm very thankful about. I still continue motivational speaking with guys like The Million Dollar Man. And I have a business called Total Package Fitness out here in Atlanta. We do wellness consultation, exercise, nutrition and supplementation. That’s what I always loved doing.

There were a few months when I stoped watching wrestling as a kid, this must be the time when they formed the Allied Powers. I damn sure don't remember them as a tag team.:dunno:

Report: Lawler & Cole Pushing For Jim Ross Return

Source: The Wrestling Observer Newsletter

It’s said to be no secret that Jim Ross wants to return to the announce booth. His appearance on RAW two weeks ago resulted in overwhelming sentiment that he should return, but his fate lies in the hands of Vince McMahon and Kevin Dunn, who prefer youth—though Jerry Lawler is three years older than Ross.

Furthermore, Lawler and Cole have pushed for Ross to replace Matt Striker as the third man for pay-per-view broadcasts, whom they both dislike. McMahon, however, feels the pay-per-view broadcast team should be limited to those who work television.

Why Kaitlyn Won NXT + Backstage Future Plans

Source: Pwinsider.com

It is said that fan balloting for the winner of NXT played a huge part in WWE’s decision to have Kaitlyn beat Naomi for the season three crown.

While the company does not disclose details on how eliminations are determined, Kaitlyn won a vote — advertised as 50 percent audience and 50 percent Pros.

Besides Kaitlyn, AJ is expected to be retained on television, likely with Primo on Raw. While not confirmed, it is expected that Kaitlyn will join the Smackdown brand to continue her interaction with Vickie Guerrero.

In regards to the runner-up of NXT season three, Naomi, many people within the company are high on her as a long-term project due to her stellar athletic ability.

Mick Foley Frustrated w/ TNA – Leaving The Company?

Mick Foley gave an interview to GeekWeek.com yesterday where he says that he doesn’t plan on renewing his contract with TNA. Foley said he was frustrated with communication problems inherent in the structure of the company similar to WCW and that he wasn’t pleased that the company didn’t air footage of his appearance at Jon Stewart’s Rally To Restore Sanity for Comedy Central.

“I’ve been beating myself up and it’s frustrating because I can’t seem to get the decision makers in TNA to realize that it is a big deal to show me in front of 250,000 fans at the Jon Stewart rally and to show the reaction of the crowd,” he said. He noted that the contract was up in about “eight or nine months” and that his in-ring days are limited as it is.

Did he really injure his knee? I thought him acting like his knee was hurt was just Orton selling the beatdown before he was to lose to Miz after the Barrett match.

Good question. We'll see with the next tv tapings and house shows.

When I started seeing Kaitlyn on Smackdown and Raw, I knew what it was. They tilted the scale by giving her more exposure but they'll probably keep Naomi, the best in ring performer. Hopefully they treat her better than they did the other athletic Black females they've had (Jazz, Shaniqua).

There were a few months when I stoped watching wrestling as a kid, this must be the time when they formed the Allied Powers. I damn sure don't remember them as a tag team.:dunno:

You didn't miss anything. They were slapped together in Luger's last months with the company. They worked a Mania together and were on the outs by SummerSlam. Then just as they turned Davey Boy and it looked like he might feud with Luger, Luger shows up on the first Nitro.

I'd love to have Ross back. The short time he worked the other week, he made the whole Michael Cole nonsense tolerable. But I don't want him to replace Striker. Striker can sometimes want to force his one liners in at the worst times he's still the best color guy they have. He probably needs to work with Ross to improve instead of a second stringer like Grisham (who also needs to be trained by Ross likek Cole was). Lawler and Cole don't like him because he actually does research and makes them look bad.

I rarely thought TNA used Foley to the best though they did get some good moments, promos and matches out of him. The fact that a relatively small company like TNA has such poor communications infrastructure is a bad sign but not surprising. It shows with their product.

So THQ wants people to pay 10 bucks on XBL so they can play as luger and nexus:hmm: As far as nxt goes kaitlyn is horrible and it's only a matter before she gets stale, imo she already has and naomi/aj put on a damn good match last week which was better than any "pro" has had.

Whats your dream match?

I always wanted to see a program between HBK & The Rock. WWE tried to get a match between the two but it never happened. There were reports that Rock didn't see HBK as a big enough star for him to come back for.:dunno::hmm:

Only match that pops into my head right now.

If I remember correctly the story is that HBK has an asshole towards the Rock during the short time frame that they were both with the company initially which is why Rock had little interest in working with him later.

Stone Cold vs. Brock Lesnar could have been good.
AJ Styles or Samoa Joe vs HBK could have produced a great match

Yeah HBK was an asshole to Rock plus HBK acted a fool with Rock's grandma in her promotion in Hawaii.

A Bret Hart vs Kurt Angle match could have been great ( I remember Bret saying that he wish that he could have had a match with Kurt ).

A Crow Sting vs Deadman Taker match could have been epic years ago.

Just picking modern guys
Any new combination of Kurt Angle, Samoa Joe, Christopher Daniels, Chris Jericho, Daniel Bryan, AJ Styles, CM Punk, and Davey Richards make my dream match list. Preferably they would get at least three matches to learn each other since guys would be unfamiliar with each other the first time.

I'd love to see Jay and Mark Briscoe against Beer Money or Team 3D.

"Crow" Sting against any Taker since the Attitude Era. Sting worked well with big men and Taker works well with smaller guys so they would mesh well.

Any combo of Rey Mysterio, Daniel Bryan, and Kaval in a series. WWE has 3 good small men. I know Vince hates cruiserweight recognition just like he hates tag teams:smh:.

Wade Barrett vs. Sheamus. Who is the top United Kingdom star in the WWE? They could also form a cool stable together with Drew McIntyre. England, Ireland, and Scotland. With William Regal as a manager type.

CM Punk vs. AJ Styles. Please make this happen before it is too late.

Kofi Kingston vs. The Pope. Please make this happen.

Jay Lethal vs. MVP. Please make this happen.

WWE talks about wanting a black fan base:rolleyes: yet they have a proven track record of keeping black talent down:smh:. They never replaced the half black Rock or even someone like a Booker T. WWE needs to hire a couple of non white story writers. I hope MVP goes to Japan and hone his craft.

I'd love to see Jay and Mark Briscoe against Beer Money or Team 3D.

Most of those guys have fought in Ring of Honor.Bryan and Jericho provided a good short match on NXT.What they could do in 20-30 minutes would be ridiculous.Joe and Punk had a series of matches in ROH that were going to 45 minute draws.

The Briscoes against Beer Money would be great.Them against London and Kendrick,The Hart Dynasty or The World's Greatest Tag Team would be fantastic as well.

I think that Chris Benoit vs. Desmond Wolfe would have been good. An Eddie Guerrero,Samoa Joe and Kurt Angle 3 way dance would be sick or replace one of the last 2 with a Lance Storm,Daniel Bryan or Chris Hero and it would be good

Too bad about MVP. He had all the tools. Maybe if he was a little more white he would've been given a shot.

Seems more like WWE's lost though.

"We all have many dreams. Realizing one sometimes prevents you from realizing another. Decisions must be pondered & made ! No need for alarm. I did not get fired . I asked for & received my release. I felt it was time to go international & freshen things up."

not trying to sound racist but besides Mark Henry, R-Truth , Big Zeke, Alicia Fox and the Cryme Tyme guy, what black wrestlers are in WWE?

They have a black guy who's supposed to be on the next season of NXT named Byron Sexton and Consequences Creed is in FCW.Other than that I'm not sure.
