Yeah, it's a shame the Briscoes were never on AEW programming because of backstage politics.
LOL, $5 Indian if I've seen one.
I blame Twinkle Toes and friends for rigging the Briscoes on not being on AEW. I loss my oldest nephew on NYE of 21 due to an car accident. Me and my nephews when they were young enjoyed watching the Briscoes when it was on the Sinclair network, so seeing Jay passing like this is a gut punch.
Yep, McFingerBang and the Cucamonga Kids didn't want the Briscoes or FTR outshining them as a tag team.
So they relegated the Briscoes to ROH and pretty much job out FTR every chance they get, when they're even on TV.
The Briscoes not being on AEW programing had nothing to do with the Elite. An Warner Bros/ Discovery executive didn't want the Briscoes on AEW programming because of past homophobic tweets. I know you hate the Elite and listen to everything that Jim Cornette tells you as gospel but not everything is the Elites fault.
Damn shame, Jay Briscoe only got a graphic to start the show. No live mention of his passing. The hate is strong.

Couldn’t AEW have had them on their YouTube shows? I mean, I don’t put it past the Elite to try and keep them off AEW TV, due to the reasons brothers @XXXplosive and @xspade7 mentioned.

The Good
Jay Briscoe memoriam graphic at the beginning of the show.
Jay Lethal vs. Orange Cassidy (Jay Lethal wearing a Briscoe armband. Match was solid for the most part. A lot antics and shenanigans outside the ring with Danhausen and Best Friends.)
Top Flight vs. Young Bucks (Matt and Nick Jackson wearing "Jay Love" armbands. The match was what you would expect. A banger! Both teams have amazing chemistry. The Bucks put over Top Flight.)
Bryan Danielson vs. Bandido (Danielson and Bandido both wearing Jay armbands. This was a phenomenal match. MOTN.)
Willow vs. Toni Storm (Good match. I'm liking the homegrown versus we came from the big time angle they're developing here. A lot of possibilities they can go with this. Finally an interesting storyline I can get behind with the women.)
Konosuke Takeshita promo (Loved it. His English is not bad.)
KUSHIDA vs. Darby Allin (Great stuff. Kushida is so talented and a perfect opponent for Darby. Would love to see Darby take an excursion to Japan and wrestle in the best of Juniors tournament in New Japan.)
The Bad
Gunn club/The Acclaimed segment (Meh. It's beyond annoying at this point.)
Jake Hager vs. Ricky Starks (Starks managed to get a decent match out of Hager but I have no interest in this Starks/JAS feud.)
Overall another good show.

That Danielson vs. Bandido match was one of the best matches I've seen on Dynamite in a while.
Great ring psychology by both men and not just a bunch of spots.

And honoring someone that wasn't, "allowed" to be on tv.
No they couldn't have had them on the YouTube shows because Warner Media/Discovery didn't want them associated with the AEW brand. That includes AEW Dark and Elevation. The only time the Briscoes wrestled was on ROH pay-per-views.
Also, If you know the history between the Young Bucks and the Briscoes you would know that they've never had any beef toward each other. The Bucks have always respected the Briscoes. The Bucks have put over the Briscoes many times in ROH and would've had no problem doing it in AEW.

The Jim Cornette reference was more directed at Cornette followers who use negative Jim Cornette speak like "twinkle toes" to describe particular people in the Elite. Yes Cornette has never specifically said that the Elite were behind the Briscoes not being on TV but since he constantly establishes his hate for the Elite it casts this cloud of suspicion over everything that the Elite do. So if you're a Cornette follower and already hate the Elite you're not going to be objective and give them the benefit of the doubt. Everything becomes their fault. The whole CM Punk fiasco; it's the Elite's fault. FTR not getting their match with the Bucks; it's the Elite's fault. The Briscoes not being on TV; it's the Elite's fault. Someone slipped on a banana peel; it's the Elite's fault.
You didn't know. By default you're supposed to blame the Elite for everything regardless of facts.
The thing I hate about the whole Warner Media/Discovery position on the Briscoes not being on TV is the hypocrisy of it all. Jay made a mistake years ago, apologized for it, learned from it and moved on to become a better person.

You've allowed Nick Gage a convicted felon to be on the show. You've allowed Mike Tyson a convicted rapist to be on the show yet you draw the line at the Briscoes? Yep, much the same way all the anti-WWE stans blame Vince McMahon for everything they don't like in wrestling.
All I know is that whenever an ex-WWE wrestler dies and people feel as if they're not given a proper tribute on TV, everyone goes in on Vince.
TK, and anyone else with influence in the company, should get the same level of scrutiny.
People talk about how many billions of dollars TK and his family has and how they could buy the WWE if they wanted to, yet at the same time they pass the buck (no pun intended) onto Warner execs and act like they have little influence over their own product.

Yeah man, I hate to say it but I wouldn't be surprised to hear of a sad story of him doing harm to himself.
I cannot imagine what he and his wife are going through, after losing their son. I hope he gets the support he needs.
