Did this happen during the Monday night wars?

when ecw invaded wwf?
I believe WWE owned ECW by that time, so technically not really the same.

As far as Mickie is concerned, I see this as WWE making it up to her for the bad treatment she got when she was cut. I like the idea of characters from other promotions popping up on other shows from time to time. There is a balance that has to be achieved however.

No

I’m talking bout in 1997 when Jerry lawyer was going over there and they was coming over there

that’s why I said Monday night wars and not invasion in 2001 with wcw.

show me examples of forbidden door back in the 90s

was loose cannon a forbidden door???

Nah he's correct. ECW and WWF had a working relationship in 97 ish...RVD dubbed Mr. Monday Night along with Sabu was brought in by Jerry Lawler.

This was years before WWF bought ECW and WCW.

That's one of the only forbidden doors I can think of.

Also, Mike Awesome (then ECW champion) but recently signed to WCW faced Tazz (signed to WWF) for the ECW title.

Only time a WCW wrestler faced a WWF talent (prior to WWF buying WCW).

Right

that’s how he got his name MR Monday night

sabu went to wcw and then didn’t sign his contract extension that’s as worth a lot of money.

I remember paulie was talking about his Wcw was taking his talent from 95 to 2000

im about to rewatch all this stuff now that I have peacock

Brian Pillman and Rick Rude been with all 3 I believe along with Raven.

wasn’t Rick rude the first person on Nitro and Raw on the same day?

Undertaker wrestled the future Kane in Smoky Mountain Wrestling

At that point Jim Cornette was working in the WWF while also running Smoky Mountain so that crossover was business related. Same way The Heavenly Bodies came up and faced The Steiners in the WWF and had rematches in Smoky Mountain. Damn shame that Kane had to go through multiple horrible gimmicks with the WWF before they finally got it right. Nowadays they'd just release and he'd probably never be seen again in the WWE.

Is Mickie James going to win the women’s Royal Rumble?

The likelihood of that happening is pretty much zero.

I thought Kenny Omega being pushed over the Impact Champion was dumb, not because it made Kenny look strong, but because it made the then (Black) Impact Champion look weak.

A guest spot for James (and possibly others) in a Royal Rumble match doesn’t come close to pushing another promotions champion over your very own.
Wasn't wrong. Kenny Omega's reign as Impact Champion didn't help anybody in Impact. And for him to lose the title in AEW to an AEW wrestler made the decision even dumber. Used the Impact title to try to build interest in an AEW title match and instead left no doubt who was going to win that match

Am I the only one who enjoyed omega collecting the belts?

I thought it was great, just mistimed likely due to Hangman taking time off for his child's birth.

Otherwise, if Hangman would've had his moment first, then have Kenny lose the Impact title to Christian and the AAA title to Andrade like they wanted, it would've been ideal.

But I was content with how it went given the circumstances, plus impressed with how Kenny did all that while having vertigo. I had vertigo in 2020 and I couldn't do shit but lay down.

ECW was in financial trouble more than usual at the time so Vince was keeping ECW afloat basically bankrolling the company. I remember Heyman stating it but don't remember exactly the terms. Here's an old topic I found on the subject.

Vince had bailed ECW out during that time, so it really wasn't a forbidden door as they were in debt to him and really couldn't pay it back.

Cool, just glad I'm not the only one

Weren't you the one that shytted on the "Hidden Door" when Kenny Omega did it with the Impact champion?! So now that Mickie James will get squashed doesn't this hurt the Impact womens title and their champion?

You talk about a company man, can WWE do no wrong in your eyes?
Bruh, it's Impact (which hardly anyone watches) and a women's Royal Rumble. It ain't that serious. LOL
Plus, WWE has been acknowledging TNA/Impact and using video footage on their documentaries for a while now so they clearly have had some kind of working relationship with them.
